Living in Bali I’ve been to Potato Head a few times, and don’t get me wrong they have a great location and bar too. But it’s always so busy! Recently we had our friend over here in Bali, she is pregnant and had to stand outside lining up for 40 minutes just to get inside Potato Head. Why? We didn’t have a booking!
So I went looking for somewhere else to just chill, read a book and hang-out by a pool. Then I stumbled across LV8 Resort. LV8 is a very cool and relaxed resort on the Canggu beach. The Vue beach club is situated right on the Brawa beach offering the most amazing views and one of the biggest swimming pools here in Bali. We head out here almost every second weekend and the place is surprisingly quiet. A funky blend of design, interesting cocktails (that are well made) and a relaxing atmosphere make LV8 a great place to hang out.
You can chill by the pool for the day for only Rp100,000 ($10) for the day. Included in the price you can laze as long as you like on the day bed and are supplied with a pool towel. They have a great range of tapas, pizza’s and cocktails to choose from. I highly recommend the Vietnamese spring rolls.
I love hanging out by the pool enjoying a cocktail or two. The food and drinks are delicious and they have the perfect all day menu. Or you can try the Ning restaurant with an Asian cuisine or the Eight fine dining restaurant within LV8 resort.
I’m always surprised how quiet this fantastic beach bar is. Persoanlly I don’t think they have done much in the way of marketing hence why this treasure is only visited by a handful of regulars. Early afternoons the Vue beach bar attracts a few of the domestic travellers here to take photo’s of the sunset but still hardly anyone in the swimming pool.
LV8 Resort is open from 10am – 11pm unless there is a special event. Located on Jalan Discovery no. 8, Canggu – Bali, Indonesia. It’s easy to find and just around the corner from the Canggu Club. Head to the beach and you can’t miss it.
