Staying in Style at Naam Sawan
We were invited to stay at Naam Sawan. This stunning work of art is in my top 10 villas of all time! A grand cathedral style ceiling takes your breath away as you enter the front door. Moving throughout the property light tones, stunning design and fabulous furnishings impress even further.
The bedrooms are incredibly comfortable. They ooze style and the bed is one of the best I have tried. The downstairs area has three bedrooms; two interconnect with a media room with huge TV, surround sound and huge lounge area – perfect for young families.
Cape Yamu Neighbourhood
We had a fabulous lunch at Taste, a restaurant and beach club that sits atop the peak of the ridge overlooking the bay below.
The amazing Point Yamu by Como resort is also close by and offers fantastic dining options. There are more dining options as well as a marina and a pier close by, so island hopping to Phang Nga and Phi Phi Island is easy.
Exploring Phi Phi Island
I’ve been to Phi Phi Islands years ago, but a lot has changed in the 10 years since I last visited. If the name seems familiar that’s due to the countless movies that have been filmed here over the years. It’s a beautiful archipelago of idyllic islands brimming with bars, restaurants and other travellers.
The snorkelling is fantastic but you are not the only one doing it. You do need to keep in mind there are other tour boats around you looking for the perfect spot to feed and see the fish.
If you are looking to enjoy a day trip I think staying in Cape Yamu is a great option. It allows easy access to the islands and a quiet spot for families.
