When it comes to Bali, different neighbourhoods cater to different needs.
If you want world-class dining and trendy beach clubs, head to Seminyak.
If it’s hipster vibes and smoothie bowls you’re after, Canggu is the way to go.
If, on the other hand, you’re really looking to relax and unwind, surrounded by the sounds of nature and Bali’s spiritual energy, you go to Ubud.
If you’re looking to relax in style, you stay in Villa Naga Putih.
Villa Naga Putih is tucked into a tiny Balinese village just 10 minutes from downtown Ubud. As you drive to the villa along a narrow jungle road, you already feel like you’ve travelled light years from the crowded streets of southern Bali.
And then you arrive at the villa. If there ever was a time to use the word “jaw-dropping”, this would surely be it.
A Designer’s Dream
Villa Naga Putih is a design connoisseurs dream. The villa is built over three levels and offers amazing views of the jungle ravine throughout.
After you pass by the Buddha statue at the entrance, you enter the villa through the second floor. This brings you to the living room which is beautifully styled with leather sofas, polished wood floors and a stunning hanging lantern. And this is only a prelude to the main event.
The living room extends to a huge balcony and from here you get your first taste of the views.
Many people associate Bali with beaches first and foremost, but where the island really excels are lush tropical vistas. Villa Naga Putih is carved into the hillside and standing on the balcony, gazing out into the great ravine, you feel like you’re standing on the edge of the world.
Once you’re able to tear yourself away from the views, there so much more to explore at the villa. Down on the ground floor, there’s an air-conditioned media room followed by the villa’s jungle view pool.
Thanks to the generous balconies, living areas and poolside deck, there’s plenty of space to simply relax and be for a change. That’s something we could all use a little more of in this age of constant notifications and email pop ups.
Catching Some Z’s
Beyond the generous living areas, Villa Naga Putih offers four bedrooms which can sleep up to nine guests. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a beautiful carved headboard. The room opens out to a private balcony where you get to take in the views in style.
Two of the guest bedrooms have king-sized beds and one room has a queen-sized bed. All rooms have their own ensuites and the master bathroom includes a gorgeous jungle view bathtub.
Live Like a King
Villa Naga Putih wraps itself around you oh-so-gently that after a while, you really feel like home. There’s no need to venture far from the villa at all. Part of the magic is of course the staff.
The villa manager Esa speaks perfect English and his experience in the hospitality industry really shines through. The service is attentive but never overbearing or intrusive.
The villa is immaculately well kept and daily breakfast is included in the nightly rates. If you need help with anything else – say arranging a driver or making dinner reservations in any of Ubud’s fabulous restaurants – Esa and his team will make it happen.
In a word, Villa Naga Putih is the ultimate jungle hideaway – with a whole lot of added luxury.
