88 PLACE

88 Place isn’t like any ordinary villa – when you step in you can feel that the owner, Craig Parkin, has designed it with love. The villa is like an art gallery: each piece of furniture is handpicked and carefully placed. For instance, enter through an intricately crafted wooden door and be welcomed by an enthralling 300-year-old Buddha statue from the Shan state overlooking the river. Step into the living room and an artistic multi-coloured horse artpiece is set in the corner of the room, giving a contemporary feeling to the space. This modern-come-traditional retreat combines the comforts of your own home, along with the luxury that you deserve.

You’ll never find a need to leave the 88 Place. If you’re looking for something to do, head upstairs and challenge your friends to a game of pool. If pool isn’t your cup of tea, not to worry – the villa also has a dartboard handy!

Living Room

The living room is an intimate communal gathering place. The plush couches are inviting – jump in and flick on the Apple TV to catch the latest movies. There is a bar placed just behind the couches, so there is no excuse to leave your glasses empty!

Dining Room

Meals can be enjoyed at the colossal wooden dining table that is majestically carved from a tree stump. It easily sits up to a large number of guests (12 guests) comfortably. The ambience during dinner is perfect – the fairy lights on the trees, coupled with the reflective light on the roof creates a warm and romantic atmosphere. The chef, Tien, whips up a delightful dinner menu and his specialty is the chicken or pork soup, so be sure to dig in!

Garden & Pool

Craig has purposefully created multiple areas to enjoy where you can idle your time away. On the far end of the villa are marble seats where you can kick back and dig into a novel while watching the river. Alternatively, you can sit by the outdoor rocking chairs as you watch the children run around the garden. The tantalising pool stretches across the property and has a shallow wading area for children.

88 Place has six well-appointed bedrooms. Four bedrooms are located on a pavilion of its own while the other two are in the main pavilion. The bedrooms are luxurious – they come with an extremely comfortable double bed and high quality linen which assure you a good night’s sleep. Feel like a celebrity as you walk into the bathrooms – the mirrors are fitted with lights all around and there is ample space for everything you need.

The bedroom on the ground floor in the main pavilion caters to children. It comes with double decker beds, baby cots and a myriad of games to keep the young ones entertained.

Your stay in 88 Place is made enjoyable by the professional staff. 88 Place’s staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly hospitality.

Villa Manager

88 Place’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Housekeeping

You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.

Butlers

Butlers are on hand everyday to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout your stay.

Chef

The villa’s skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements.

88 Place is located along the Ping River and next to the Ko Klang temple – a historic 300-year-old monument. The airport and night bazaar is a mere 10 minutes away while Doi Suthep is just a 30-minute drive from the villa.
