Blue Karma Villas Umalas is an exotic estate comprising three luxurious villas: six-bedroom Villa Ka, five-bedroom Villa Kayu and three-bedroom Villa Kafe. Hugged by rice paddies and decorated with indigenous Indonesian art, Blue Karma Villas Umalas genuinely provides guests with an exotic experience. Each villa features a sumptuously sized swimming pool and vast tropical gardens, with living areas and bedrooms set in traditional Joglo pavilions.
If you’re travelling with a large group, Villa Ka, Villa Kayu and Villa Kafe can also be booked together to create a 14-bedroom estate. All bedrooms are furnished with king-sized beds which may be converted into two single beds as needed, making the villas ideal for hosting mixed groups and retreats. Blue Karma Villas Umalas was previously branded ‘Bali Ethnic Villa’ and is nestled between chic Seminyak and trendy Canggu.

Blue Karma Villas Umalas is located in the Umalas neighbourhood in Bali, Indonesia. This is an area favoured by expats and it offers a vibrant mix of international bustle and local village life. The closest restaurants and coffee shops are about 10 minutes away on foot. Umalas is ideally located between Seminyak and Canggu, two of Bali’s most popular neighbourhoods. The beach clubs of Seminyak are within a 15-minute drive and the same goes for the surf shops and cafes of Canggu.

We had a fantastic time with our extended family at Blue Karma Villas. You feels as if you are stepping into a tropical paradise when you enter the doors. Gorgeous gardens, crystal clear pools and divine villas nestled throughout the large property.
The service was wonderful. Nothing was too much to ask. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They organised classes and activities for us, as well as dance demonstrations. The food was delicious and they catered to anything we asked for. Highly recommend.

I can only recommend Blue Karma Villas. We stayed at 2 of the Villas (Villa Ka and Villa Kayu) with a large family group of 23 people. It’s the perfect spot for a multigenerational holiday .Not only are the Villas stunningly beautiful and very spacious, they are also hidden away in a little pocket of Umalas. It’s quiet and beautiful, and yet in 10 minutes you are in Seminyak. The staff are highly professional and the service is excellent. Our villa chef cooked amazing meals, Indonesian and Western, and it was always delicious. The villa manager Gede arranged everything we ever wanted, from a private dance performance to babysitters and dinner reservations at restaurants. 5 stars all around – do yourself a favour and stay here if you can. Thank you Gede from Lea and the whole family! You are a star and made our holiday extra special.

This property is pristine, quiet and sooooo relaxing. The cuisine was excellent…healthy and fresh. The staff was attentive and always had wide beautiful smiles! Ngurah made everything happen effortlessly.

Just perfect!
We stayed at Bali Ethnic villas for 2 night but wish we have had longer there. We stayed in villa Ka. Everything from the rooms to the pool to the gardens was pure luxury. We had an outdoor bathroom, bath, shower, toilet, twin sinks that weren’t at all overlooked and was so refreshing to use. The villa had a huge bedroom with queen bed, a dressing room with safe and wardrobes and fridge and the bathroom. We had a veranda with a sofa for that early morning coffee (brought by your own serving team).
We arrived late at night after 24 hours of travelling and were greeted with a cold coconut and a friendly face.
The villas have an amazing team of staff from chefs, butlers, security and serving so you don’t have to do a thing if you don’t want to. Breakfast is amazing (try the banana pancakes!) and lunch is wonderful. Special mention to the manager Ngurah for his attention to everything.

“The most amazing place i’ve ever stayed!!!”
I was lucky enough to have the wedding of my dreams at this villa. The staff here are truly amazing and couldn’t do enough to help. I can honestly say that I couldn’t fault a single thing! Amazing food, friendly service, clean, immaculate gardens the list goes on. The Villa Manager Ngurah is a pleasure to deal with and always ensured that things ran smoothly. I spent six months searching for the perfect location for my wedding and I am so glad I chose Bali Ethnic Villas. all 66 of my wedding guests were absolutely amazed at how beautiful the venue was and how fantastic the staff are. I cant wait to visit again with my family.
