We had a great stay at Coastal Escape. There are only 4 villas, every villa has a private swimming pool. It literaly is an escape on the coast. The resort has a private beach. Don’t forget to take a boat trip to the nearby islands

Amazing experience Amazing place
This is a truly delightful place to stay.
They really made our entire holiday wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble they even arranged for our luggage to be collected from Phuket so we could go on our three night catamaran trip.
The experience was totally personal to us with boat trip and recommendations for lunch trips.
Food in the villa fantastic also.
We loved it so much we extended our stay by two nights.
Thank you to Daniel and the team

We received such a warm welcome upon our arrival and the staff was amazing throughout our whole stay. We stayed at the resort for 2 nights and made use of many lovely facilities, such as the pools, kayaks, (motor)bikes, restaurant and bar and we took the best massage ever! Will definitely come back if I’m ever in Thailand again 😊

Great concept, great place, great effort, great island
If you have ever wanted to combine the luxury and convenience of a five star hotel and the freedom and space of a high end villa, in an amazing location, then this concept and property is for you.
The villas are of a really excellent standard – the bedrooms are breathtaking. Conveniently, they have a small kitchenette, stocked with branded snacks and drinks, all at very reasonable prices (to note all food and drink here is reasonably priced – and with no compromise on quality). Anything else you need, just press your call button.
To note, if you are travelling with small kids (ours are 2 and 4) the resort is suitable. There are safety locks on doors and plenty of space to dash around whilst not disturbing others.
All staff try hard to provide a high end, personalised service. Aek stood out to us as a luxury service professional who instantly anticipates and responds to guests’ individual needs – thank you for all you did for us during our short stay. At the end of our stay the heartfelt farewell we got, with all available staff helping us into our taxi and waving us off until we couldn’t see you anymore, brought me to tears!
A trip out on the resort’s speed boat is highly recommended – the crew are thoughtful, professional and knowledgeable about the local area. They are an extension of the high standard of service provision and we all enjoyed our morning out with them.
We have travelled all around Thailand in the last couple of years and Ko Yao Noi has to be one of the best spots we’ve found. The island feels touched but nowhere near spoiled by tourism.
We hope to be back in coming years for a longer stay and to explore the island further – three days was definitely not enough!

Another flawless visit
We rarely re-visit places but given the pandemic and the uncertainty associated with travel worldwide we thought that we’d go back to Coastal Escape. We were very glad we did as we had just as good a holiday here as we had back in 2018. You can see my 2018 review here…
https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g661285-d10783269-r565483568-Coastal_Escape_Koh_Yao_Noi-Ko_Yao_Noi_Phang_Nga_Province.html
It is pretty much all the same, – well branded, full attentive service, luxurious villas, excellent food, marvellous staff, beautiful views. All one could wish for as a holiday destination. We were on our own for some of our stay but the other 3 villas all had visitors at some point or another whilst we were there.
We’d been staying at the Amari in Patong to satisfy the Sandbox requirements for testing etc. Daniel had arranged a transfer for us, first by car to the Bang Rong Pier and then by speedboat right onto the beach in front of Coastal Escape. Daniel was there to greet us and show us to the same villa we’d had previously. In my previous review I mentioned that if the tide is low there’s a short walk but somehow in the editing I messed it up a bit. To be clear it’s a short 50 *metre* walk along the beach at low tide and not a 50 minute one. You can also transfer by public ferry or by longtail boat. In my opinion though, the speedboat is the only way.
The villas and indeed the whole property was pretty much the same as when we were there last. Some minor changes in décor and furnishings and there was no drinks in the villa except tea and coffee. We didn’t care very much about that as the staff are only too happy to deliver any drinks we wanted really quickly, – Singha O’ Clock anyone? There was plenty of water supplied daily, – an essential in the humidity and heat. There’s a mosquito net which one should use as the little blighters caught us all more than once and mostly overnight. Coastal Escape has its own range of toiletries now and we loved them. I can recommend the Aloe After Sun, – lovely stuff!
One is very aware of nature here. There’s the Geckos and we once saw a large metre long lizard ambling across the lawn but it’s the abundance of birds and butterflies that more striking. There’s one particularly loud bird called the Asian Koal. Very shy though and I never saw one though they can be very close.
Again, the food was truly excellent. I can’t really say very much more. Everything was really good and they ran a full menu despite the lower occupancy. Frankly, I don’t know how they manage, – it’s all freshly prepared, delicious and served without delay. I strongly recommend asking them to get some fresh snapper or grouper in for you and have it with the three sauces, – Garlic & Pepper, Tamarind and Penang Curry. It’s fish as it should be.
We didn’t do too much in the way of activities which is ironic when you consider that we’ve spent the last 2 years sitting indoors doing very little. We ate out at Sawasdee Kohyao restaurant one lunchtime. This was a lovely place with great food on an mangrove estuary to the South West of the Island. We enjoyed it very much and I’d certainly consider eating there again if the opportunity arose. This is an alcohol free restaurant but the freshly prepared juices were mouth-watering, – the passionfruit was particularly addictive.
We had massages included as part of our package. We tried oil massages and one of our party had a Thai massage which did a great job of easing tensions. The little spa at the back of the property is lovely and quite secluded.
We visited the Tha Khao Batik to watch them doing their beautiful Batik work and also to have a go ourselves. This was soooo much fun. They showed us the whole process from beginning to end and how paint, blend and fade colours. We were given some books with outline pictures in them as suggestions upon which to base our design. I choose some humming birds. We all really enjoyed this and I highly recommend you give it a go.
Finally, we took the speedboat out around the Andaman sea one day, visiting some of the neighbouring islands in the national park and doing some snorkelling. We stopped off at Koh Lao Lading island for a picnic lunch. On the way back the weather closed in very quickly and we found ourselves in a massive thunderstorm. This was a bit unnerving but the staff were cool as cucumbers which was re-assuring. The captain put his foot down and got us into the shelter of beautiful Koh Hong Island where we were soon joined by a variety of other refugees. You enter through a narrow channel and it opens out into the most beautiful enclosed blue lagoon. Maybe we’ll see it another time without the thunder, lightning and sheeting rain. It was quite an adventure though!
WIFI is excellent with speeds topping out at 350 Mbps ! This is the best I’ve encountered anywhere. I was able to do some emergency work by remoting onto my desktop in London with no noticeable lag.
The staff were all marvellous and although we didn’t see everyone or catch all the names I’d like to give a shout out to Amena, Bao, Boom, New and Prem. I’d also like to thank the night watchman who was very helpful.
I don’t think I can really add very much more to this. Coastal Escape is a great place for a holiday and I have no hesitation in recommending it (again)

Pure luxury in a relaxed, intimate setting
Coastal Escape is an unparalleled luxury, from the beautiful villas (with private infinity pool!), to the spectacular view/beach/grounds, and the wonderful people who work there. The service and food were beyond our expectations. The people were friendly, helpful, and yet respectful of our family time. The breakfast provided is amazing with many choices, all fresh and delicious. We rented mopeds to drive around the island and went on a chartered long boat tour of the islands. I just hope we have another opportunity to stay at Coastal Escape in the future.

Wish we could have stayed for six months
We stayed here back in 2016 and decided to visit again. Booked three weeks and extended another week. Wish we could have stayed for months!
It’s hard to find any fault here and it’s probably the best place to stay on Koh Yao Noi.
The villas have spectacular ocean views and small private pools. There is large main pool right on the ocean with bar and dining area.
I am a picky vegetarian and the staff took down my food requests in advance. Meals were served in our villa and the food was fantastic. A big thank you to Keth!
The paddle boarding and kayaking is great and once you get out in the ocean, the surroundings really are amazing. The view of the island and the bay is breathtaking. If you’re an Instagram person, you’re going to get a lot of amazing shots.
The island population is all vaccinated and following masking and social distancing. We felt very safe in that regard.
Daniel and his team are all super friendly and have obviously been in hospitality for quite some time.
We already miss going to sleep with the sound of the ocean and waking up with a quick dip in the pool and will no doubt be back soon

Coastal Escape is open for business and it’s beautiful!
My wife and I recently spent 5 nights (Villa #1) at Coastal Escape and had the entire place to ourselves. Future guests can only be so lucky. In fact, Daniel, the General Manager, had written to me about a week before our arrival with a very extensive list of safeguarding measures they were taking. Koh Yao Noi has not been hit with the virus but my wife and I were both very comfortable with the actions of the staff. The villas are so spread out (there are only 4) and immaculately clean so that it was easy to feel at ease. If you can make it to the resort as soon as…..immediately, you should have no hesitation! We ate every meal here and they were all excellent and reasonably priced.
We took an excursion to the surrounding islands on one of the days and the trip to Koh Hong was one of the highlights for us. I had a fishing trip also that night with local fishermen in a local boat which I also thought was wonderful (but not for the faint of heart! :) The staff was very thoughtful about safety and also that the trip matched the expectations we had.
Everything was super; no complaints and it was just what we wanted – beautiful views, access to pools, a clean villa and grounds, and attention when we wanted it but seclusion, too, when that was our wish. Thank you to Daniel and his team for a great week.

Great service, excellent food (we asked fish and crabs and they was perfectly cooked), amazing Villa.
We usually love to take the motorcycle to go in Koh Yao noi… but that time, we just wanted to spend time at the villa !
We also booked the boat « Escape » and have a great time.

Escape to Paradise
We just got back from a 4 day holiday at Coastal Escape. Our friends have been many times and we were lucky enough to get invited for the holiday weekend. We rented the whole resort and had the most amazing experience. The rooms are gorgeously appointed. Each villa has two bedrooms and a living room with a small kitchen. There is a plunge pool at each villa. You can enjoy your dinner in your room or at the main bar area. Breakfast is incredible. You can order as much as you want and all of it served piping hot. You can order Asian noodles, eggs any style, fresh fruit with homemade muesli, gorgeous croissants and cheese or do what we did and order it all! The cocktails and fresh juices were amazing and we spent the weekend having them try new combinations. All of the staff were helpful and accommodating. Daniel was available by phone and checked in with us many times each day always available to organize boat trips, motor-bikes or special dinners. There are kayaks and stand up paddleboards available for use. The view is to die for. When our flight continually got delayed, the resort was kind enough to extend our stay and organize a special return boat so we didn’t have to sit at the airport. Already planning our next visit to Coastal Escape!

Escape to Coastal Paradise
There are no words to satisfactorily describe this special place. The beauty of the location, and the food are only out classed by the staff working there. We got to know each and every one of the thirteen staff members because they made our stay memorable. We had our own 2 bedroom villa, where we stayed with our son, his wife, 4 year old granddaughter and our 4 month old grandson. We were there for a week. It started by staff greeting us on the beach when our boat arrived late at night, and we were able to order a dinner in our villa upon arrival. The seafood dinner was absolutely delicious. They gave us an electronic device and asked us to push the button any time we needed something. I think my wife thought it was her own personal service button and over used it at her leisure. They were very service oriented and encouraged us to use it whenever/whatever we needed something. There was no telephone in the room that I can remember, and they would always arrive with a smile on their face and pleasant greeting. The complementary breakfast was also a fantastic way to start your day. Although the menu had structure, they would make almost anything you would want for breakfast. In fact, most days we didn’t need lunch, because we ate a wonderful large breakfast. Although we did eat most dinners off the resort, we did eat two meals on the resort. They were comparable to a fining dining experience at some of the local restaurants and the price was also comparable. Truly great food at a fair price. It was such a beautiful place to wake up to every morning. We would enjoy our leisurely breakfast by the ocean every morning and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean and islands. The week went way too fast as “good times” always pass quickly, and before you knew it we were waving goodbye to our new found friends on the beach as we boarded the power boat for Phuket. The beauty of the island was only surpassed by the friendliness of all the staff who helped us create memories that would last a life time. Would we return? Looking forward to it….

Another return visit, another fantastic memory
My wife and I are very fortunate to live in a region (SE Asia) where you can visit many wonderful cities, towns, or nature-related areas; all within a short distance. To that end, we are spoilt for choice and have loved exploring this amazing region and discovering new places/hotels. There is only one place that we deliberately return to time and time again, and that is the Coastal Escape. Daniel and his team always provide us and our friends (we rented the entire complex at Thanksgiving and had an amazing stay) and family (we’ve just taken my wife’s family there for Christmas, as we did my family 3 years ago) a first class stay with flexibility, creativity, and incredible hospitality. The island of Koh Yao Noi is a paradise and the Coastal Escape team has become an extended family to us. Whether you are with kids or not, the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom villas provide ultimate flexibility and space, along with their very own plunge pools, and the shared space never feels crowded; even at peak season with full occupancy. The food is also consistently first class, a great variety of options, and the team is always trying new things, and KYN doesn’t have much variety. We highly recommend that you come to this beautiful island with amazing views and tranquility, but guarantee that Daniel, Aek, and the team will make you want to return over and over again by the truly wonderful service that they will provide you. We will continue to return ourselves as often as we can, starting in March!

Paradise found!
Koh Yao Noi and the surrounding islands of Phang Nga Bay are just idyllic and the concept of Coastal Escape delivers the most perfect 5* guest experience.
We spent 3 days here with two children aged 11/13.
Upon arrival into Phuket we took the pre-arranged car then speedboat option, which after a longhaul flight was just perfect and fast. Daniel was kind enough to arrange an early check-in so we were able to make the most of out first day in resort and the jetlag just banished!
Highlights:
– The villas themselves are spacious, well maintained, spotless and have super comfy beds.
– Located on a lovely stretch of sand which was perfect for swimming – no rocks.
– The menu offered is extensive (Western and Asian) and a taste sensation. Every meal we experienced was just mouthwatering. The freshest ingredients are all beautifully presented and definitely worth the wait in preparation.
– Daniel arranged a private day trip on the speedboat the “the Escape’ where we visited the stunning surrounding islands and National Park. This was one of the best day trips we’ve done and loved the flexibility it offered with our family. I’d definitely recommend doing this and the crew were just lovely.
Back in cold England now, trying to cast my mind back to the views, the crystal clear waters and the magical time we had. Every moment we spent here was perfection – thank you to Daniel and the whole team. You’re all outstanding

Beautiful villa with hotel service
Coastal Escape feels like a private villa with hotel service. Besides the beautiful villa on the beach, we were impressed by the excellent food. The menu offers a perfect mixture between Thai cuisine and international dishes from Thai curry to burgers and lasagne. All very finely cooked. Relaxed but still upscale atmosphere.
The crossing from Phuket to the hotel by private hotel boat is expensive, but very comfortable and therefore recommendable. The island can be explored by moped (rental by the hotel) in a few hours, there is not much to see. The beach is less beautiful than e.g. in Phuket. Coastal Escape is located next to the luxury hotel six senses Koh Yao Noi. Tip: go for a bar or restaurant to Six Sense. But we still found the food in Coastal Escape better than in Six Sense

Wonderful 5 nights in low season
We just returned home from a wonderful 5 night stay at Villa Kohia using 3 of the 4 bedrooms. The villa was well appointed, decent furnishings, decor, bed, bath and pool linens, lovely ensuite bathrooms with barrier free showers and two with closed courtyard free-standing stone soaker tubs. Khun Fon was on hand from morning to night, coordinating our daily breakfasts, maintenance, housekeeping and grounds keeping crew, plus she was very resourceful as an island guide when we wanted to go site-seeing, making reservations for dinner, shopping for items we wanted to use during our stay at the villa and for finding souvenirs to bring home. We are a fairly self sufficient bunch and didn’t need to be waited on hand and foot … but she surely would have, which is nice to know your beverages could be topped up, you could be surrounded with fresh cut flowers and fruit platters all day long. The airport runway in the valley below was a bonus for us, as we all enjoy the sights and sounds of aircraft throughout the day … and other than an occasional 30 second sound of engines at take off or reverse thrust when landing – this villa’s location is more peaceful than many other areas on the island that are surrounded by the constant buzz of scooters and vehicles. Ocean, mountains, jungle, a gilded mountain top temple, sandy beach coastline, and a filtered view of the runway provide lovely backdrops for photos, pool days, meditation, yoga sessions, dinner parties and whatever you’re into. The property is terraced and the garden contains water features that babble away during the day and are silent by night. The trees are adorned with a dizzying assortment of orchids that live symbiotically on the notches of Palm fronds, and the crepe flowers of the washed out pink and the vibrant fucsia bougainvillea bushes look stunning in photos any time of day. We took advantage of the villa pre-stocking service to fill the fridge and bar with mixers, sparking water, a case of prosecco and plenty of fresh fruits, veggies, charcuterie, eggs, and popcorn … so we had healthy options for poolside snacking, we could make salads, blender drinks, and never feel like we had to leave … unless we wanted to. Instead of visiting one of the numerous local spas, beach clubs or resort hotels – we fully took advantage of the private boutique nature of this villa by creating our own luxurious milk baths, bubble baths, massage sessions, facials, and all things relaxing … without having to leave the comfort of our own robe or face “the public” or endure car rides down winding roads only to have your relaxation buzz killed with a bill to settle at the end. We brought an Apple airplay that we used with the hardwired sound system and had our own playlists to suit our moods from playful dance party to Ibiza / Costa Del Mar Chillout sessions. An overnight shopping trip to Hong Kong on the way to Koh Samui yielded great props, costumes, and a bottle of the hard stuff each – which fit right in on the days where we wanted to stay out of the direct sunlight, and focus in on some photo shoots to take home some pretty portraits in a gorgeous surrounding.
