Greystone Living

Greystone has been converted from one of the old Hirafu village pensions – a large family run bed-and-breakfast style lodge. The refurbished property retains the ample open spaces, as seen with the huge bedrooms, bathrooms, ski/snowboard storage space, washing/drying areas, dining rooms and kitchen.

It’s a modern alpine style home, with Japanese touches – dark timber wood posts and beams feature throughout the home, contrasted with pale Hinoki wood in the bathrooms and with private onsens. As the name suggests, grey stone tiling is also prominent across the home, along with Japanese lantern lights that evoke a warm and cozy atmosphere.

The décor and unique touches around the property are a mix of the old and the new – traditional Japanese paintings and ornaments adorn the walls, while the trendy coat hangers are made from old wooden Japanese skis.

Living Room

The living room is extremely spacious with wood beams stretching across the width. Choose to sit and enjoy a movie in the media room beside the warm fireplace, or move towards the back and snuggle on the plush couches while listening to the kids tell their adventures from the day of skiing. You could also choose to tuck yourself into one of the many storybooks that sit on the shelves at the Greystone, as you nestle into the warm and comfortable couches

Dining Room

The dining and kitchen area is big, and easily sits a big family. A bar counter with high chairs sits below a glass windowsill that stretches from wall to wall and overlooks the Niseko mountain range. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a wine cellar.

Greystone Staff

Your stay is made enjoyable by the professional staff who have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly hospitality.

Property Manager

The chalet’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the chalet. The property manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Our chalets in Japan often have housekeeping 1 – 2 times per week depending on the property. Each chalet will have their own cleaning schedule.

Greystone Location

Greystone is at one of the prime locations in Niseko and away from the hustle and bustle of the upper village. Snowbound forests border the property in winter, accentuating the Hokkaido mountain village feel. What makes this property even more alluring is the traditional Japanese onsen located right next door, as well as the hottest Izakayas, bars and eateries nearby. The property is about a 15-minute walk to the ski lifts (probably longer if you are in ski boots!). If you do not have a car, the best option would be to catch the free shuttle, which stops just across the road.

1 review for GREYSTONE

  1. Rated 5 out of 5

I’m a huge fan of this property as there are not many like Greystone that can sleep a huge group under the one roof. Full renovated and extremely comfortable this 7 bedroom chalet is in a perfect location. The shuttle bus which leaves every 20 minutes is on the same street so you have easy access to Hirafu and all of the amazing restaurants. There is also a onsen walking distance from the chalet.
