    “Taman Ahimsa is the best”

I think Taman Ahimsa is the best villa I have ever stayed in, if wish only I could have extended my holiday just a few days more! It is a stunning seven-bedroom luxury beach villa that is shaped like a giant wooden boat in the main reception. It then has gorgeous huts dotting the pathways, with the light shades being made in the same design, making it all look so natural and lovely. Every bedroom had its own little things giving it unique style, and also intricate design details on the roof, floor, bathroom and every else in the villas, keeping with traditional Balinese style but still being ultra-luxury. The best thing is the infinity pool which has the awesome view of the ocean. I will definitely recommend this villa to my friends, and get them to take me back with them!

    “Just WOW!!”

When you enter this property, only one word comes out is WOW!!

I was staying in Taman Ahimsa for only a few nights and I wished that time would slow down so my holiday here would go longer!

Each and every corner of this villa is just perfect and thoughtfully decorated. This villa would be great for big families as it has 7 bedrooms. All the bedrooms have different colour schemes and so they all look very bright and pleasant, and you feel stress-free when they switch on the soft yellow lights across the landscape and the beautiful gardens in the evening. What I liked most was the authentic traditional feel to the outdoor bathroom, especially with the lovely stone bathtub.

There are many places all around to have chill out time with your family and friends, but the swimming pool with the gazebo for poolside dining was the best combo! We spent more time there than anywhere else, especially for watching the amazing Bali sunsets.

Overall this villa is a perfect package. Tasty food, great ambiance, huge bedrooms, very friendly staff and everything you need to have a memorable Bali vacation.

Room Tip: Just choose any room, and you will love it for sure.

    “Unbeatable villa with private beach!”

I loved the way Taman Ahimsa is a totally eco-conscious beachfront villa AND it has a Hindu history. All the rooms were named with Hindu chakras! Staff is really courteous and everything was top class, even the welcome drink was awesome! You get to enjoy a splendid view of the amazing each + pool from the dining table while having breakfast every morning, or you can take it down by the pool. Loved the room arrangements and open bathroom space including hot tub (but I didn’t get a chance to use it!). In the evening I made myself comfortable near the beach to enjoy the sound of waves. Really cool place, I wish we could have stayed longer. No tension, no worry, just a relaxing holiday experience.

“If it’s possible to give 7 stars, I would!”

Wow, this was like a 7-star experience! From the minute you open the door to the villa you realise you are in paradise. Great sea view, open living spaces, and awesome bamboo lined walls, timber floor and sweeping views of the bountiful garden straight through to the sea. Every room has a different name on Hindu chakras and a unique story that explains the theme. The facilities are excellent, well-laid out and everyone still has their privacy inside their huts. The pool is fantastic with a stunning view. Too good to be true!

“The most epic villa in Bali!”

You will be blown away by this place. We had a large group of friends and our group’s name was above the entrance written in a big welcome sign, then we walked through to take in the MASSIVE open living/dining/lounge space, all with cool wooden furnishings, and looking straight down the simply stunning walkway dotted on either side with the separate room huts (whose design matches the light shade! Just wow.). You can describe the place forever. The rooms located above the main kitchen have spectacular views, and are adjoined by a wooden-bridge-walkway! Then as you walk down the path you notice when you turn back and look that the entire complex is actually shaped like a BOAT! Each of the huts have beautiful outdoor bathrooms, and unique “feel” being associated with different chakras and each with their own lil’ balconeys, greens lawns everywhere, and the staff on hand for yummy local dishes fresh as you could like.

AND THEN… the gorgeous infinity pool with dining space covered under the shaded gazebo (complete with a bar dontchaknow) and a private gate to walk out to the black sand beach. There was even a canoe to use if you dared the waves! My friend’s kids played in the pool all afternoon, and my girlfriend and I cruised up the beach and saw all the locals surfing and swimming when the sunset rolled in. The entire place was like a dream. Would recommend for anyone, living or dead!

    “Definitely one of the best”

A large traditional Balinese style villa combined with an awesome view of the ocean, so you can’t ask for much more than that. It has all the modern luxury amenities however, so you don’t have to be too “traditional” and sacrifice on any comfort. I stayed in one of the bedrooms which was close to the ocean and every morning when I open the doors I was greeted by the sweet sound of the ocean, but the beach near the villa is quite rough so it’s not advisable for swimming unless only in the afternoons.

Food prepared by the villa chef was like a top-class restaurant. I really had an amazing time in Taman Ahimsa.

    “Absolutely loved it!”

We absolutely loved our stay at Taman Ahimsa. If you wish to escape the crowd in Seminyak, then this absolute beachfront retreat in Canggu is perfect to unwind, relax and rejuvenate. My bedroom Sahasrana was designed in the shape of a boat and had an adjacent media room and a bamboo balcony with serene views of the ocean.

The King-size bed was massive and very comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Each bedroom at Taman Ahimsa is beautifully designed and I loved the outdoor bathtubs.
We spent most of our evenings lazing around the pool with Bintangs and admiring the amazing red-and-pink sunsets from the beachfront. The staff was warm and welcoming and we loved the local Indonesian meals prepared by the chef.

This is a great place to spend some leisure time with family and friends, especially if you’re in a big group.

“Unique, breathtaking villa with special touches”

Everything about this huge, breathtaking villa was special and beautifully done. Right from the rooms, to the beautiful outside surrounds and gardens. The whole place felt like being in your own world where everything was custom-made for your enjoyment, the green lawns, the dazzling pool area, the private black beach and the sea, gourmet food, and good service. And of course the comfort. We were here and soaked it all in for a short trip, with absolutely no complaints. We even went down the road in a cab one night to see the holy Tanah Lot temple in the water and watch the sun set. Pure paradise.

    Book it!

Our Ministry of Villas team stayed here and we absolutely loved everything about it. All of the staff agree that the images don’t do the villa justice. It’s so much larger then they first thought.

The arrival process was smooth and painless and after a long flight welcomed. Eddie showed us the rooms and explained who each of the staff members were and who would be around during our stay.

Overall the gardens, pool and furnishings are well maintained. The feeling of the villa is very comfortable and it has an abundance of natural light. It has a great vibe when entering and so spacious and that view! The staff feel in love with this villa and after staying at 4 villas previously this is there favourite.

The bathrooms are great and I love the shampoo and conditioner added for guests. The open air bathrooms are seriously cool and those bathtubs! The beds and pillows were very comfortable and overall we had a great night sleep. I love having dark curtains too.

Meals at the villa are cooked by their talented chef. Breakfast – perfect! Exactly how we like it. The groceries did add up though so ask for local brands to cut costs. Dinner – Great! The food was amazing and the chef was fantastic. They never over catered and there was always just enough food without wastage. Many villas we have found have a few wines available to purchase on hand but this villa doesn’t. I recommend buying some to have at the villa otherwise for the staff to do an alcohol run it takes an hour round trip so don’t do what we did and leave it to the last minute. So plan in advance as the staff can pre purchase alcohol for you and you don’t have to lift a finger.

The staff service is fantastic. Eddie is amazing! He is switched on, has common sense and has perfect English. I can’t say enough about the service from this young man and he certainly needs to be looked after as he is a rare find these days. Wayan and Nyoman who have also been at the villa for years were lovely. So you’ll be well looked after.

Great villa and highly recommend it. Ministry Approved 😉

Taman Ahimsa ticked all the boxes when it comes to a perfect holiday retreat. It is tucked in an idyllic spot in Canggu and stepping into the property is like walking into your own private villa estate – all just for you. The views from the bedroom that peer across to the ocean is to die for (couldnt think of a better way to wake up each morning!) and going to sleep while listening to the sound of the water is very calming. The pool and the pool bales were a hit – pool parties and dinners by the pool will be a norm. The property provides floats for kids if need be.
Food prepared was great – we had lovely prawns in tomato /chilli salsa, chicken wrapped in spinach for an evening dinner. Staff (Edy) was great and made us feel welcome/comfortable.

Highly recommend Taman Ahimsa for a group or family holiday.

    “Hidden Treasure”

Stayed here in March-April 2013 and had the best time. The rooms, the pool, the entire villa and the view are better than the photos could ever capture. The staff were polite, helpful and accommodating but not intrusive. It is a bit hard to find and far from everything else, however the rate includes a driver for the day should you want to go into Seminyak or somewhere else. You get a chance to pick you menu during your stay and the staff would do the grocery shopping and the cooking for you, they charge the cost of the shopping + around 15 % service fee.

We had an event here and it was the perfect setting, couldn’t ask for more. Definitely would recommend it if you’re looking for a quiet getaway.

    “Utterly perfect”
Taman Ahimsa may be off the beaten track, but it more than makes up for it in privacy & luxury. The rooms were very large (the master villa has a bed that could literally sleep 4 or 5). The open-air bathrooms just divine. But the best thing about Taman Ahimsa are the attentive staff. Nothing was a problem, they did their best to accommodate last minute changes & I swear the house-keeping staff were ninjas (I barely saw them, only their excellent work). The best holiday I ever had.

    “Excellent Property…great location”
This was my first visit to Bali, the villa has 7 rooms and it was ideal for 4 families with kids. The location is awesome and gives you the best view of the setting sun. The staff is courteous and helpful and the villa manager Ms. Prama a genuinely nice person. The initial days one might feel the pressure of planning for food and giving instructions but once the staff knows your needs they manage it well. We were a big group staying in villas at a walking distance so we had large parties and the villa staff could handle it very well. It is a old Balinese style architecture and the open to sky showers are just fabulous. The other amenities in the kitchen as not shinning new but well maintained. It has a unique touch and is a great villa to unwind.

    “Unforgettable villa, best in Bali”

Just had our wedding at Taman Ahimsa and it was an idyllic venue to host our friends and family. The stay was just as exceptional, really top notch.

The rooms are unique, lot’s of space and nicely decorated. Bed was massive, it felt larger than a california king! You are on the beach in a sleepy part of Canguu, perfect views of the sea. The pool hosted probably the most epic pool party I’ve ever seen.

Staff were attentive and mindful. Food was great, no complaints there. I’d say that the only downside was the music stereo. The only reason why I don’t give it 5 bubbles… If they were to invest in a nice receiver and speaker system around the pool with connection at the pool’s bar hut, it would have been that much better.

    Other than that, it’s a 5!
