I was very pleased with Royal Purnama resort, they are treating all of their clients with respect and make them feel like royalty. We had our wedding there and we’ve been amazed by the arrangements that Dian, the events manager, made for us. She took care that in our wedding day everything is perfect. Everything in this place is beautiful and well organized.
Highly recommended!

Amazing, Relaxing and gorgeous!
My boyfriend and I stayed at The Royal Purnama at the end of June after backpacking through Indonesia for 20 days. We stayed for 3 nights and never needed to leave the hotel. It was gorgeous everywhere, even the bathrooms. I cannot speak highly enough about the service their staff provided, everything was quick, and everyone was so kind. They learned who we were and our names quickly.
The food was excellent and we tried many things from the menu. Chef Jay even visited our table on a few separate occasions to ensure we were enjoying our meals.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service and a place to relax. We didn’t use the shuttles to Ubud or Sanur but we heard great things from other guests about them.
Would love to go back soon.

WOW! Stand out villa resort in Bali.
We were lucky as our driver collected us in style and we drove out to the property. It really didn’t take long at all from the airport. On arrival the staff greeted us and collected luggage and it was a smooth arrival, taking us quickly to the villa which is always welcomed when arriving. Nobody likes to be standing in a lobby for too long.
I love the layout overlooking the sea and the black sand beach. The black tiled plunge pool was something unique and I really liked it. The materials used are impressive and the level of detail the owner and architect spent on the design is well worth it as the finished product is beautiful and one of the stand out on the island. The use of the stones around the front not only protect you from the wild weather, but at night when lit up gives a feeling of mystery.
The tropical gardens around the villas and resort are magnificent. You must have a great team working to ensure the resort is always green as the gardens are perfect.
The yoga deck is another highlight. Those who are no fans of working out on holidays and would rather find a little zen, the complimentary yoga classes on the roof top at 7am daily is fantastic. This one hour class is perfect for those wanting to stretch and meditate – the perfect start to the day. There is no better place then listening to the waves…
Private villa we stay in was the one bedroom pool villa. I like the space of the one bedroom villa. It’s ideal for a couple and having the lounge and dining room allows guests to have a space to enjoy inside the villa instead of needing to visit common areas.
The little kitchenette is all one needs when staying. Plus you have a huge coffee machine which is always welcomed. The bedroom is so very comfortable, sheets white and overall very good. The bedroom has a four poster bed with lounge at the end so you can watch TV on the big screen or read a book. The high ceilings give the feeling of space, and with two air-conditioning units it’s very cool inside and a welcomed relief from the Bali sun.
Again, the space in the bathroom is great! Dual his and her sink with indoor shower and bath all in very good condition.
I believe the villa is half the reason guests return and the other half is the villa team. The staff are lovely and very well trained.
Breakfast was served in the restaurant which has a great beachfront location. I love the breakfast options as we had a choice of Indonesia, Chinese, American and they even had an Italian cheese platter. I’ve never seen a cheese platter for breakfast anywhere in Bali yet it was perfect!
I also like how the staff handled a change to the order when we asked if we can have one egg with the platter – rather then running off to check with the chef, they made a decision then and there and said “yes”. It’s great when staff are trained to be able to make calls like this on the spot.
They have a wine list but was quite limited for someone like me who likes my red wine from France or Italy. Perhaps adding a few bottles would be a nice touch as many Europeans and Australia’s like a good wine with dinner ;)
I did try the yoga class and give this 10/10. They also have a Monday to Sunday list of other activities available and the board displaying these outside the restaurant. I think customers more and more want to be able to stay within a resort but have activities that are free or charged that they can try. So really liked this option.
Amazing internet. I was very impressed how far the internet quality has come in years. Once upon a time you couldn’t get internet past Sanur.
Overall I really recommend getting away from the crowds and exploring the rest of Bali. You’ll love it!

Best intimate romantic hotel in Bali.
This hotel was out of this world. It was our second hotel of 3 we stayed at and it was our outright favourite. The pool suite room was exceptional. I would highly recommend this for your own space as a family or couple.

The staff were lovely and incredibly helpful. The rooms were massive and very comfortable: I loved the outdoor shower, looking up at the moon! The scenery was stunning whether you faced the sea or the rice paddies. This is a classy resort!
