The Santai Living
The Santai’s name means “relaxed” in Indonesian and these beautiful pool villas capture this mood to a T. Each villa within the estate is its own private retreat, nestled in beautifully manicured tropical greenery and featuring a massive private swimming pool.
Living Room
The two-bedroom villas at The Santai come with an enclosed living room furnished with a grey sofa facing a flatscreen TV. The three-bedroom villas have open-sided living areas furnished with a stylish grey sofa and armchairs, with the space fluidly connected to the swimming pool.
Dining Room
In the two-bedroom villas, the four-seater dining table is located in the enclosed living room and comes flanked by a compact kitchen. In the three-bedroom villas, the dining table sits outside on the covered poolside terrace with an adjoining open-plan kitchen.
Garden & Pool
Each villa at The Santai comes with a beautiful and very well-sized swimming pool which resembles a tropical lagoon thanks to stylishly placed stepping stones, shallow lounging sections and the tropical greenery which surrounds. The wooden poolside deck is furnished with light hued sun loungers.

The two-bedroom villas have one bedroom with a king-sized bed and one bedroom with two single beds which can also be set up as a king if needed. The bedrooms are located on either side of the swimming pool.

The Santai Layout
The Santai is a complex of 11 private pool villas: 5 x two-bedroom villas and 6 x three-bedroom villas. The complex also includes a restaurant. The two-bedrooms villas have enclosed living areas, while the three-bedroom villas have open-plan living areas.
The Santai Staff
Your stay in The Santai is made enjoyable by the professional staff. The Santai’s staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly Balinese hospitality.
Villa Manager
The Santai’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.
Housekeeping
You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.
Butlers
Butlers are on hand 24 hours a day to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout your stay. Please note that The Santai’s butlers work on a room service basis, meaning they are only present at your villa when requested and not stationed at the villa at all times.
Security
It’s nice to know you have security and many villas will have full-time guards or night time security available. Additional security can also be arranged if the villa doesn’t include any in the daily rate.
The Santai Location
The Santai is located in the relaxed Umalas neighbourhood in Bali, Indonesia. Umalas is strategically sandwiched between Seminyak and Canggu, offering easy acces to both of these trendy neighbourhoods but still maintaining a more peaceful ambiance away from the traffic. There are a handful of great restaurants close by, including Eco Café which is right across the street and Kembali Bumbak some 150 metres down the street.

Beautiful Establishment
We stayed at The Santai for five nights. We stayed in the 2 bedroom Villa. 2 Adults & 3 kids (10,8,2 yrs). The service was really friendly and very professional, the premises were tidy & stylish. The villa was luxurious with a great private pool and a very nice kitchen/dining/hang-out area with a basic cooking facilities and a coffee machine (the free cookies and free minibar were a nice touch!). The rooms were super comfortable and spacious. All with TVs. They had thought of everything. Right down to providing international plugs.
The breakfast was great. But wasn’t as impressed with lunch & dinner. But easy enough to get to other restaurants if need be.
I do have to mention that my sons Hurley board shorts went missing. They were on the bedroom floor (wet) when house keeping came. But not there after the service. Staff were very helpful with calling exterior laundry company – as I thought perhaps they had been caught up in some towels by accident. But never to be seen again – which was a mystery.
But lovely place to stay & would consider staying again.

Our stay in the santai was great. Nice and big villas! Perfect for families and friends. The staff is so friendly, always taking care of you. A lot of restaurants neraby. The best breakfast i had in bali was here!!!

Beautiful Villa with lovely caring staff
Thanks for making our time at The Santai Villas so wonderful. The villa was clean, modern and perfect for a family of 4. Plenty of room with an amazing pool. The staff were all so generous and friendly and were always so helpful. The food was magnificent and provided a great selection and variety of both western and local foods for both adults and children. The staff at the Gong restaurant were wonderful and we looked forward to heading there for a meal at least once a day. Thanks again to all Santai staff that contributed to us having such a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

great villas
we are a couple with 3 kids and a baby. i wanted to book the 3-bedroom villa but it was booked so we ended up staying at the 2-bedroom villa, which is very very nice. i have an extra bed and a baby cot, with very minimum charge. we stay for 3 nights and on the last night they moved/upgraded us to the 3-bedroom villa, with no additional charge. which i think is an amazing gesture. service is beyond great, so friendly and so helpful.
i only gave 4 star because to me the food is lacking taste. but im asian so i might be used to something spicier.
all in all im very happy with our stay. my kids love it too. location is in umalas, which is a bit secluded but i think will be the next seminyak in a few years,,,but the shuttle car is practically available to drop you off if you need to go to more happening places in seminyak for shopping and dining.

Comfortable, relaxing, getaway
The Santai has only 11 villas, which makes it nice and quiet if that’s what you’re interested in. The 3 Bedroom villa I stayed in was absolutely beautiful, each bedroom having a little bit of a different look to it than the next, with the master bedroom having a walk out from the master bedroom right into the pool, quite nice! The Staff are great and super accommodating. My family and I enjoyed a 1.5 night stay, unfortunately our flight was very early in the AM and cut into our second night.
The Location is a little out of the way from Seminyak, but nothing to complain about, it’s a nice distance and not too irritating with the wonderful traffic Bali has. Great Villas!

Beautiful villas, amazing service.
I stayed at The Santai for four nights with my family and we were all blown away by the level of service. From the airport pick up in a luxury van to the gourmet daily breakfast, everything was flawless. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa which was beautiful with a huge pool and everything was spotlessly clean.
The villas have 24 hour butler service that’s a simple phone call away – we loved the privacy of only having staff at the villa when we requested it. The villas have coffee machines and the fridge is stocked daily with sodas and fresh tropical fruit.
The complimentary breakfast was some of the best we’ve ever had in any hotel or villa: you can choose a starter (sliced fruit, bircher muesli, granola..) and a main dish (eggs benny, French toast, chicken teriyaki…), a fresh juice and a specialty coffee EVERY SINGLE DAY.
I can’t stress enough how amazing the staff were. Everyone is beyond polite but never pushy or intrusive. We went for sunset at The Lawn in Canggu and when enquiring about transport, The Santai organised us return transfers free of charge. I wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be recommending The Santai for years to come! An amazing place to stay.
