We recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Asli, and I must say it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and made to feel right at home. The villa itself is a stunning piece of architecture, beautifully designed and impeccably maintained. Our bedroom was luxurious and comfortable, with the most amazing bathtubs I’ve ever seen in my life. The highlight for me are the Indonesian antiques and artefacts dotted throughout the property, as they create a strong connection with Balinese culture.

From the moment we arrived we were in paradise. There is something so very special about the villa design and unique furnishings. The owner has done a fabulous job of creating a very special villa in Bali and has a keen eye to the details. The staff have been amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The chef can also cook incredible meals – we were going to explore Canggu and eat out but ended up staying in. I honestly do not want to leave! Highly recommend staying a week here.

A Remarkable Stay at Asli Bali Villa: A Memorable Balinese Adventure”
We had the pleasure of staying at Asli Bali Villa in Bangli, Bali, Indonesia for the second time, and it was truly a remarkable experience. Wayan Sila and his family welcomed us with open arms, making us feel like part of their own. Their son, TeJe, was an outstanding driver, tour guide, and photographer.

TeJe’s hospitality began right from our arrival at the airport, and he continued to impress us throughout our stay. We did a morning tour, which included visits to Penglipuran, Pura Kehen, and the breathtaking Tukad Cepung Waterfall.
TeJe’s extensive knowledge of the area, his fluent English, and his safe driving skills made this excursion all the more enjoyable. And of course, he captured unforgettable moments with his photography skills, showcasing his unique TeJe style.😉

One of the highlights of our stay was being invited to a local ceremony at the city temple in the evening. This was a truly unique Balinese experience, where we were graciously dressed in sarongs by Wayan Sila’s wife and got a glimpse of the rich culture and traditions of Bali.

We had an incredible experience at the Selera Cooking Class in Bangli, Bali! From start to finish, it was a culinary adventure that we will cherish forever. This experience is a must for anyone visiting Bali.

If you’re looking for a memorable and authentic Bali experience, I highly recommend Asli Bali Villa and TeJe or Wayan Sila as your guide. It’s a place where you not only stay but also create lasting memories.🙏✨🤩🇮🇩

A haven of peace with generous local hospitality
This is a superb place to stay and excellent value for money. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. There is access to a kettle with tea and coffee supplied in a communal area. There are numerous areas to sit and relax, each beautifully put together in traditional Balinese style. Wayan, the owner, was very hospitable, as were all the staff, and took us on a couple of tours during our stay. His wife cooks delicious Balinese food. Asli Bali Villas was like a haven, away from the hustle and bustle, and I would definitely stay again.

Lovely villa in an anthentic village
We LOVED our stay at Asli Bali Villa! Wayan Sila picked us up from Benoa, and we had lunch at Dtukad riverclub. We got the two rooms with the livingroom in between, all rooms are very large, an the bathroom is also very spacious! There are only 4 rooms, so it feels never crowded. This place feels a world away from the touristy places on Bali, where it can be so crowded! What a relief to be here, and just relax and explore the area. You can book packages and do daytrips with Wayan Sila, the friendly owner. But also in the area is enough to do and see.

The first afternoon we just walked around the village, and I was so happy to be in small authentic village, where people and children are smiling to you, no cars to see, just the Bali of 50 years ago. We had a lovely dinner at the villa that evening, we got free gamelan music made by the son of Wayan. Next day we went to the Dedari waterfall, it’s nearby the villa, very easy to go there by yourself. No-one there, unbelievable! We walked downstairs, it was an easy walk, and we enjoyed the peaceful ambiance of the waterfall. Afterwards we walked back to the villa, and after lunch we watched the Galungan ceremony in the nearby temple. In the evening we got transportation to Yeh Pulu restaurant, which is only 25min. from the villa. We loved the upstairs area on our rooms, where we had our breakfasts and lunch, overlooking the ricefields. The whole garden was lovely, with nice pool and several comfortable places to sit and relax. On our arrival day we visited the Taman Nusa park, really beautiful and interesting, worth to spend some hours there. And afterwards Wayan Sila drove us to our next hotel in Tegalalang.

If you want to see the real Bali, and want to escape from the touristy areas, do not hesitate and do yourself the favour of staying here a couple of days! Thanks Wayan for everything, regards to your family!

Wonderful accomodation with much love for details
I just spent five nights at the Asli Bali Villas and I had a wonderful stay! The rooms, garden and pool area are created with much love and dedication.
Wayan and his family are excellent hosts, exceeding expectations, welcoming and friendly!
The service was outstanding! Everything was clean and tidy, the food freshly cooked, the host always ready to help or answer questions.

The location might be a bit remote, but there are rice terraces and waterfalls to explore, and regular attractions such as Mount Batur or river rafting are shorter or just as a long drive as from Ubud.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this place!!!

    Best Accomodation in Bang Li
Bangli is a small town that does not have many option to stay. There is one old and basic accomodation in the main street but I didn’t choose that one .

When I googling accomodation around Bangli, most search engine suggested Kintamani or Ubud area , while Kintamani is located about 1.5 hour from Bangli and Ubud is around 1 hour drive .

As my purpose was visiting Panglipuran, traditional village in Bangli, I really search accomodation in Bangli only and finally I found Asli Bali Villa .
The villa was opened since a year ago and run by Wayan’s family as he and his wife / daughter and son act as the receptionist, kitchen chef, gardener, housekeeping and so on.
Villa only has 4 rooms and I chose the suite room .

The villa is located around 1 km from the main street of Bangli, in the quiet village called Banjar Jelekungkang . As the location is available on the google map, finding the place was easy.

Wayan and his family is very nice to their guests. He really understands about local culture and also the schedule of temple/ pura ceremonies. Wayan also rents his car and motor cycle to his guests.
He also helped his guests to use local sarong and local hat so they can enter the nearby temple that doing ‘odalan’ .
As he knew well the timing of ceremony, we were informed in advance what time we need to go to the temple.

I came during Galungan ceremony and in front of villa the young men made penjors ( bamboo poles with offerings suspended at the end ) , it is very interesting to see how creative these men to make it.

My room was slightly smaller than Deluxe room, but I got huge terrace to sit or had some lunch/ dinner.

Food option was not much, such as fried rice , fried noodle, rice + chicken , etc. But they are able to make simple food as our request such as rice + sunny side egg + sweet ketjup or fried rice without ketjup + bacon.
Surprisingly , they always give me extra food or drink like fresh coconut or papaya juice and fruit platter or cake . In the Galungan day I got extra local snack like sweet cassava , duck ‘tutug’ and pork ‘tutug’.
Means, although I ordered just simple food, I always got additional local drink and food 😍.

The breakfast was normally served after 7 am, but they were able to provide breakfast at 6.30 am as we went to Panglipuran at 7 am. Really appreciate their effort to cook early than usual.

AMAZING – The highlight of a one-month Asia trip – An oasis of peace!
The Asli Bali Villa was the most beautiful and relaxing place we have visited and it marked the highlight of our one-month Asia trip. This was beyond any shadow of a doubt the most gorgeous stay of our life. The whole outside arrangement was extremely clean, well-taken care off and beautifully arranged with small pathways, ponds, and statues. The villa was big, clean, and comfortable, and the bathroom with a small outside garden and no roof was just inviting you to take a hot bath or a nice outside shower.

The owner Mr. Wayan Sila went the extra mile so that we could experience a true Balinese life and culture. He took us on a special tour to neighboring villages to experience their trades, dressed us in their traditional dresses and took us to their temple during a big ceremony, taught us about Bali culture and how to play their traditional instruments, and much more.

And the whole family and staff were super nice and generous with comfort, food, coffee and juices of the fruits from their own garden.

We loved Asli Bali Villa so much that we canceled some of our Bali plans just so that we could extend our stay for the extra 4 nights.

Big praise to Mr. Wayan and to what he managed to build in his small but very friendly village – beautiful resort, amazing energy, peaceful and relaxing stay, native Balinese experience, and an endless smile on peoples faces.

    Thank you!!

    Brilliant Villa!!!
WOW!!! What a place to stay… Such Luxury without the price tag.

Asli Bali Villa is located in such a quiet and tranquil location within a true Balinese Village setting that will take your breath away.

From the moment you arrive at the property you are met with huge smiles from Wayan and his beautiful welcoming family.

Your every need is catered for (just ask) and the family is always willing to please. The local food is exceptional, prepared fresh on site by the family and served at your private dinner table located outside the villa. Yummy food!!

With only 4 villas within the complex you could easily have the whole place to yourself.

Pop up to the roof and check out the Rice fields which feels like you could almost reach them, they are right in your back yard.

The pictures tell a thousand words, you MUST Come here to experience the real Bali without the traffic and tourists.

This place is amazing! The best place I was in Bali! ( and the others were good too, but this was the top!). If you want to experience the real Bali choose this place. You can trek by yourself in the rice fields and go to the 2 wonderful waterfalls near the hotel. And there is no tourists, just local people!!!You can also visit the fantastic temples outside Ubud (actualy they are around Bangli, close to the hotel..) using the hotel car and driver for a good price. The hotel manager was the best I found in Bali, always looking for your confort. He also explains you all you want to know about the balinese culture. The room is huge, very confortable and the garden is a paradise!!! The bathroom is huge and charming! All the details were perfect !! The price of the room was the best relation price/quality!!!

Comfy, homey with eprsonal touch – Rooms Villa in Bangli
I fall in love with this villa. I rent for 2 rooms (Asli Bali Villa only has 4 rooms – rent seperately) with sharing living room. The room is comfy and the bathroom is amazing (so large and clean with outdoor shower and bathtub).
The staffs are giving their personal touch in every hospitality in Asli Bali Villa.
The landscape of this villa is absolutely stunning and homey. Very good quality of air and there’s no noise pollution all day long.
Located in Bangli, pretty close to Bali Safari, Kintamani, Penglipuran Village, etc (guidance available in every room), i get an affordable price (incl tasty brekafast) for both rooms.

Definitely i recommend you to stay in Asli Bali Villa.

There’s only 4 rooms in Asli Bali Villa. 1 room for honeymoon suite, 1 room general and two rooms (1 twin bed and 1king size bed) with connecting living room in between. 4 rooms relatively facing to small swimming pool, garden and sharing semi outdoor living room.

However the room’s price could be higher, depend on low/high season in Bali. This villa is also (recommended) to be accessed by motor cycle or car, due to the location is around 650 meters from main road of Bangli.(PuraJagat Taman Bali). Especially at night when there are limited city light in the road (very few of locals houses, along 650 meters to villa) and up hill road.

    Wonderful!
Asli Bali Villas was the main surprise of our 2017 Bali trip. A wonderful place! Our room was spacious and spotless, with a huge half-open bathroom. The garden (with pool, sunbeds and great traditional Balinese sculptures) is absolutely beautiful. The food is very tasty. Wayan and his family are sweet and helpful people. The location (at the south end of the town of Bangli) is a bit isolated, so guests need their own transportation. Wayan offeres (day)tours, taxiservice, and rents motorbikes. He is a wonderful host, and a talented artist as well, and made us feel part of his family.

    -Positives: beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
