Villa Istana Satu Bedrooms

The two bedrooms are symmetrically adjoined to the main living area. Finished in soft, off-white pallet, they are an example in understated elegance and simplicity. Functionally complete, yet non-fussy they offer a cozy and relaxing sleeping space.

Both bedrooms are furnished with solid wood four-poster beds that are draped in elegantly white mosquito nets. The bedside tables are decorated with softly lit lampshades that set the tone for an unwinding evening with a book in bed. And in the morning you can wake basking in the early rays of bright Balinese sun, gently reminding you of another day ahead in paradise.

The larger of the two bedrooms is served by a master bathroom equipped with a comfortably sloping bathtub; while the second one benefits from a walk-in rain shower that has been set within the dark grey volcanic masonry of Balinese rock.

A beautiful little hideaway villa in busy Seminyak. Within walking distance to the bustle but down a quiet little lane so much quieter space which was very welcome. Very well looked after by all staff, Manager, Supervisor, gardener and housekeeper. Not intrusive but available and helpful. Dewi makes the best breakfasts and her omelettes are unrivaled! The housekeeper also arranged bikes, massages and laundry for us and she was a delight to have around and you can let her go early if you want privacy.

The villa was very clean and the pool and surrounding area were beautiful as was the villa itself, would highly recommend and hopefully one day I will be back.

    Good things:
    – beautifull villa
    – looks even better in real life
    – great, Central location.
    – friendly and helpfull staff

    Lesser aspects:
    – housekeeping lady is friendly and helpfull, but she does not work very fast. Preparing breakfast takes forever.
    – housekeeping lady is to ‘present’ and asks questions like: what will you do today? What time do you leave? This gave us the feeling she wanted the place for herself to instagram. She was a kind girl with the best intentionaliteit, but a truly good maid is invisible and does not intrude.
    – ceiling windows in the bedrooms. Feels like someone turns on the light at 06.30

Overall: great place, we had a wonderfull time and would certainly come again.

    First the ‘could be better’:
    – location of the villa is in Seminyak but you still need a cab to get to the beach (20min walk tough with a baby) or to any of the better restaurants and bars in Seminyak. If wrong time of day, you could be stuck in traffic for a long time for what should be a 5min journey
    – because the villa in the the back alleys from the main road, you are surrounded by local lane ways and local homes which then means you hear barking dogs and crowing roosters which does not help you have the restful sleep you hope for when on vacation
    – the villa comes with a lovely helpful housekeeper but we felt that she took too long to clean and hung around the villa more than needed which wasn’t a problem for us as a family but could be an invasion of privacy if you were one or two couples in the villa
    – personally we felt because there was a skylight in the bedrooms, and the sun rises early, it does not let you sleep in if you wanted to
    Now the fabulous:
    – Beautiful villa which felt like a gorgeous oasis
    – well-kept and well-maintained
    – great service from the housekeeper and villa manager
    – functional and clean
