VILLA JOSS

Villa Joss is a four bedroom luxury villa situated in the cool and trendy Batubelig which is a 10 minute drive from Seminyak.

Villa Joss is located in the marvelous and sensational area of Batubelig on the Island of Bali. It was completed in mid 2010 coordinated by a prominent architect who also has designed some of Bali’s recognised outstanding resorts and restaurants that include the legendary Ku De Ta restaurant in Seminyak. The villa is a 2 minute walk to the quiet Batubelig beach.

Villa is designed by one of Bali’s premier architects, the quality of the design and craftsmanship is evident throughout this four-bedroom villa, making ample use of leather, recycled teak and other beautiful organic materials, as well as a remarkable collection of fine art and Majapahit period stone carvings, to capture the style and spirit of Bali.

Living Room

The air-conditioned living area is framed in a soaring timber-lined roof with beautiful exposed beams and exquisite natural woodwork, three ceiling fans, a marble floor and folding wood framed glass doors on three sides that can be opened to invite the garden indoors. The room is furnished with a massive deeply cushioned leather sofa, two matching leather armchairs and a stainless steel arched reading lamp.

Dining Room

The 3.6 metre dining table for ten is lit by elegant green glass and cast aluminium pendant lamps. The table is made of teak recycled from old buildings in Java along with the teak and black leather strap dining room chairs.

Garden & Pool

The 16-meter pool has a non-slip marble pool deck. It is in conjunction with a Jacuzzi are both surrounded by gardens and sun beds.

Villa Joss offers 4 bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom, dressing room area, 42” satellite TV/DVD player, air conditioning, ceiling fan and security safe in its four bedrooms. In addition to that, each of the bedrooms portrays extraordinary diverse local artwork from different artists. There are 3 king rooms and 1 twin room. It is also characterised by an entertainment room with a wide screen TV/DVD player and a Bose surround sound: it also comes with a business centre with a remarkable easily accessible Wi-Fi internet connection.

Master Bedroom

The Master Bedroom is located on ground level with sliding glass doors opening onto a covered terrace beside the swimming pool. It is accented in green and gold with a warm teakwood floor and a large bright painting by Made Gunawan of the Elephant God – Ganesh – surrounded by elfish characters dancing and playing. This spacious bedroom is furnished with a king-size ornately hand carved four poster bed with white shear curtains, copper bedside lamps and a 42” satellite-channel TV positioned on a matching cabinet. There is a spacious seat at the foot of the bed and a teak cabinet dressing area with plenty of hanging space.

Joss Bedroom

The Joss Bedroom also sits on the ground level with a teak wood floor and sliding glass doors opening onto a covered terrace beside the swimming pool. The room presents a fun and flamboyant colour scheme with a red lacquered cabinet, matching red lamps and the striking ‘Made Pejeng’ oil painting by the renowned artist Krijono. It features a hand carved four-poster bed draped in white shear curtains – and pink shears are available upon request to thrill any princesses staying in the Joss Bedroom Suite! There is a cushioned bench at the foot of the bed, a 42” satellite-channel TV and a teak cabinet dressing area with plenty of hanging space.

Mount Agung Bedroom

The Mount Agung Bedroom is the upstairs master, with a teakwood floor, a green theme, and sliding glass doors that open onto a delightful shared balcony offering big sky views of Bali’s carefree kites flying over the treetops. The section of balcony immediately outside the bedroom is furnished with a table and four chairs, making it a lovely spot for breakfast. The room has a king-size bed with matching cushioned bench, side tables with white woven aluminium bedside lamps and is equipped with a 42” satellite-channel TV. The “Odalan” oil painting on the wall by Atjeng, features a colourful Balinese beachside ceremony – much like those guests can enjoy during their stay in Bali. There is also a large dressing area with plenty of hanging space.

Batubelig Suite

The Batu Belig Suite is also located upstairs, accented in gold and copper, with a teak wood floor and sliding glass doors that open onto the shared balcony. The balcony is furnished with a comfy upholstered sofa and chairs, and offers views of the greenery and rooftops of Batu Belig village. This bedroom offers the facility of twin beds (which alternatively can be joined with a specially designed top mattress) and a 42” satellite-channel TV positioned on a matching dark wood cabinet. The “Ke Pura” oil painting by Maria Tjui features a beautiful Balinese temple ceremony. There is also a large dressing area with plenty of hanging space.

Villa Joss’s indoor living has air-conditioned living and dining pavilion with soaring ceilings boasting folding glass doors for open-air dining, 3.6m teak dining table for ten people, BOSE surround sound system, two fully-equipped kitchens, wide island bar with bar stools, air-conditioned entertainment room with BOSE surround sound home theatre, business centre and play area for kids. And outdoor living has 6m x 4m swimming pool with non-slip marble pool deck, jacuzzi, large manicured lawn and gardens, large bale pavilion equipped with BOSE sound system, 3.6m dining table, large cushioned area with 45” flat screen TV and Wifi.

Villa Joss boasts a dedicated team of staff (their positions and responsibilities outlined below) to service guests in the villa.

Villa Manager

Our Manager meets and greets all guests upon arrival and leads the team to satisfy and exceed the expectations of each guest.

Housekeeping

You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family. The last thing you want to do on holiday is lift a finger.

Butlers

The butlers work in shifts to provide a personal butler service including Food & Beverage as well as accommodating all other guest needs and requests.

Security

The guards are well-trained professionals hired from the local Batu Belig village to ensure the safety and security of guests and the premises.

Villa Joss is right in the heart of Batubelig and walking distance to the Batubelig beach. The luxurious accommodation and fashionable boutiques, restaurants and bars are starting to pop up everywhere in Batubelig. We predict in 5 years it will be just like Seminyak here. The calm and prominent beach offers sun beds for hire depending and you can also hire surf boards from the beach vendors, buy drinks, enjoy a massage or simply sit back and watch the sunset.
