Villa Mako is built over a sloping tropical hill, providing lush views of the pool built on the edge of the property and the river flowing beyond it. The villa is designed in classic colonial style which includes Indonesian antiques and opulent furniture in dark wood and polished natural stone.

Living Room

The opulent living room houses a generous sofa piled sky-high with pillows, with additional seating available on the surrounding armchairs. The living room overlooks an open-air fish pond and includes vibrant local textiles and artefacts.

Dining Room

Adjoining the living room, a stately teakwood dining table seats up to 10 guests and is presided over by a collection of Indonesian antiques on the wall shelves. The villa includes a fully equipped Western style kitchen for preparing meals and poolside snacks.

Media Room

For air-conditioned comfort, the enclosed media room includes a spacious sofa positioned towards a flatscreen TV complete with a DVD player. The villa also offers a collection on movies, books and boardgames to keep the whole group entertained.

Garden & Pool

Villa Mako’s 14-metre salt water pool has a beautiful lagoon shaped design and features a modest shallow end for the kids. Sitting at the edge of the sloping property, the pool overlooks a flowing tropical river with palm trees framing this idyllic view. The poolside area is accessed through an iron gate from the villa, which can be closed for added safety if you’re travelling with young children. The pool is surrounded by a generous deck, where you can catch some rays on turquoise sun beds or seek a place in the shade beneath the covered gazebo. There’s also a separate poolside bale with barbecue facilities and a dining table for six, allowing for relaxed alfresco dining.

Villa Mako has three bedrooms. Two rooms have king-sized beds and one room has two single beds – these can be converted into a king if needed. All three bedrooms are housed under the same roof in the main building.

Villa Mako is a three-bedroom villa that’s built over a single floor, with the living and dining areas, TV room and three bedrooms all housed under the same roof. The villa’s large gardens feature a 14 x 5 metre swimming pool.

Villa Mako is located in a peaceful pocket of the trendy Canggu neighbourhood in Bali, Indonesia. Surrounded by local village life and rice fields, Villa Mako sits within a five-minute drive from the main strip of Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong which is lined with cool restaurants, trendy cafes and hipster boutiques. This lively street leads down to the popular surf beach of Batu Bolong. If you prefer a more quiet setting, the more secluded Pererenan Beach is about 10 minutes away by car. The iconic seaside temple of Tanah Lot is about 20 minutes away from the villa.
