This commanding chalet is positioned at the Escarpment Estate, a prestigious community of chalets built on the scenic outer edge of Hirafu Village. From its enviable locale, the chalet offers magnificent views of Japan’s powder paradise and a luxurious sense of privacy – it really feels like inhabiting your own private world. Though the setting is serene and your privacy uncompromised, the chalet also offers ease of access to Niseko’s most sought-after sites: the restaurants that populate the heart of the village and the ski slopes that beckon just a bit further off.

The chalet is architecturally ambitious yet irresistibly comfortable. The open plan living areas invite the whole group to gather around the fireside, while the cosy media room offers the perfect retreat for the kiddos or those young at heart – there’s also a fun bunk room right next door. The Escarpment Estate is home to the most exclusive chalets in Niseko. But even amid these heavy hitters, Chalet Hibari still stands out. Beautifully perched on the estate’s namesake, the chalet was designed by Korean boutique design firm Plan_C. It is bold on the outside and luminous on the inside, with full wall windows framing spell binding views of unspoilt Hokkaido forest and mighty Mount Yotei. Thanks to these ever-changing frames, the chalet feels like a living art gallery – one that’s blissfully private and meant to be enjoyed to the fullest.

Living Room

The living room is a light and luminous space housed on the chalet’s upper floor. The space is lined with full wall windows on two sides, allowing for an abundance of natural light and sweeping views of the surrounding forest and out to Mount Yotei. A sleek modern fireplace takes pride of place in the centre of the room, spreading its warm glow throughout the space. Two armchairs are positioned before the fireside – it’s the perfect spot for sipping some sake after a day spent out in the snow. A little further back, a plump sectional sofa invites more guests to sit back, relax and enjoy the ambiance.

Dining Room

Mealtimes at Chalet Hibari feel like dining in your own private art gallery, with full wall windows framing picture perfect views of Niseko’s nature which is constantly evolving with the changing seasons. The dining table is crafted from light timber and surrounded by eight elegantly and ever so slightly mismatched chairs. A sleek island separates the dining area from the kitchen which is stocked with all the necessary kitchenware and appliances.

Media Room

The chalet has a cosy media room that’s positioned right next to the bunk room on the ground floor. There are two comfy bean bag chairs to relax on and a flatscreen TV to keep you entertained. This room too offers the chalet’s signature views through a full wall window.

Chalet Hibari features four bedrooms. The bedrooms are light and soothing, rendered dominantly in white and light timber tones. The bedrooms are spread over two floors, with one room located on the upper floor and three rooms housed downstairs. Windows looking out to the forest and mighty Mount Yotei give each room a stunningly unique backdrop.

Chalet Hibari is a four-bedroom chalet that’s built over two floors. The ground floor houses three bedrooms (one of them ensuite), a media room, a standalone bathroom and a powder room. The upper floor houses the living and dining areas and one ensuite bedroom.

Property Manager

The chalet’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the chalet. The property manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Housekeeping

Our chalets in Japan often have housekeeping 1 – 2 times per week depending on the property. Each chalet will have their own cleaning schedule.
