The name really says it all. Homerunner is, well, a real home runner. Built in the relaxed neighbourhood of St Moritz in Niseko, this cool modern chalet ticks all the boxes of a perfect powder stay in the Aspen of Asia. Homerunner boasts fresh contemporary design, warm and inviting interiors and all the mod cons you’ll need amid Niseko’s famous powder. The upper floor living room is a real stunner with its full wall windows and lofty high ceiling. The adjoining kitchen offers everything you need for fuelling up before and after hitting the slopes. Homerunner Living
Homerunner’s cool contemporary contours offer a beautiful juxtaposition to the serene Hokkaido woodlands that surround the property. The chalet spans two floors and the upper floor living areas work as the undeniable centre piece. Not only is the space framed by full wall glass but it’s also crowned with a double height ceiling and impressive beams – a fresh modern wink to more traditional ski lodges.
Living Room
The chalet is cleverly designed as the living room occupies the upper floor. The space is framed by full wall windows and the elevated position ensures the space is flooded with natural light throughout the day. Another clever feature is the positioning of the sofa which faces the windows looking out to the surrounding forest. The windows double as an ever changing work of art – though there is a TV to keep you entertained as well.
Dining Room
The dining area is positioned behind the lounge area. The dining table is smart and modern and flanked by matching chairs. The adjoining kitchen has more seats available at the breakfast bar. The kitchen offers all the essentials – including a coffee maker for fuelling up in the morning before hitting the slopes.
Homerunner Bedrooms
Homerunner features three bedrooms. These are calm spaces with minimalist styling – just what you need for getting a good night’s sleep before hitting the slopes at first light. The bedrooms are divided over two floors. The upstairs bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The two bedrooms located downstairs share a bathroom between them.
Bedroom 1
This is the only bedroom located upstairs. Positioned next to the living room, this room features either a king-sized bed or two singles – whichever suits you best. The room also has storage space for your gear. The ensuite bathroom has a shower, vanity and toilet.

Location
Homerunner is located in the St Moritz neighbourhood, just outside the Hirafu ski village in Niseko, Japan. This laidback area is populated by chalets and a café or two, all of it surrounded by Hokkaido’s tranquil woodlands. Still, the busy scene in central Hirafu is just 15 minutes away on foot or less than 5 if you’re driving. The ACE family quad is the nearest ski lift, though the Grand Hirafu Gondola is only a little further. Besides the slopes, Hirafu Village also offers great dining and a fun apres-ski scene to boot. If you want to sample other resorts in the area, Niseko Village and Annupuri are both within a 10-minute drive from the chalet.
