The majority of tourists travelling to Phuket are during the midst of the cool or hot seasons. However, even in the rainy season, there are a few months with almost-perfect holiday weather. This post will disclose the best times to visit the island!

The Best Seasons to Travel to Phuket

Before travelling to Phuket, it is important to set priorities and to determine a vacation budget. In my opinion, March through to early May is the best time to visit Phuket. We all know that travelling during the high season – from November to February – has almost no risk in being caught off-guard by rains. However, this is the peak period (especially during Christmas and New Year holidays), so get prepared to pay double the price for the majority of villas or hotels, and dealing with the crowds.

The Hotter The Better

If your priority is to stay mainly within the confines of a luxurious villa, then higher temperature or humidity levels are not that significant on your holiday expectations as you will be comfortable staying at the abode regardless (and will have a dream villa stay: as we always say, stay just one night in a villa and you’ll never stay in a hotel again!). So there are plenty of villas for every budget to choose from that you can stay at during the hotter periods of the year. Moreover, the ocean waters getting warmer means they are also calmer, so spending the whole day on the beach can also bring real pleasure while playing in the water, instead of an exhausting struggle with fierce waves!

Outdoor Activities During the Hot Season

Besides getting in a tranquil holiday rest, the number of activities which are available during the dry months significantly increases. From renting a catamaran to experiencing parasailing, it is all about your desires and a little bit of courage! Weather conditions during the cool and the hot seasons shouldn’t have too much of an effect on your holiday wish list.

The weather in Phuket is unpredictable at times, so if you have already booked your long-expected holiday in August, do not despair! Within June, July, and August, rainy days in Phuket are usually not consecutive, so you should still enjoy plenty of clear days on the coast with a relaxing turquoise ocean. Happy holidays!
