You typically need to budget quite a bit to stay in a 5-star villa in Seminyak, Bali. That was until I discovered Villa Sky Li. What a hidden gem!
The villa is situated in the exclusive Laksmana lane. For those who have been to Seminyak before this is the street next to Kim Soo and Sea Circus. So location wise it’s a fantastic area to base yourself for a week or two.
There are fabulous restaurants popping up all over Seminyak and to have a villa like this in a secure, private lane allows you to have the best of both worlds – seclusion, minutes from the action.
24-Hour Butler Service
There are not many villas that offer round-the-clock service. But the team at Sky Li do! Our butlers were on-hand during our entire stay and helped arrange things for our team late into the evening.
The chef is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is included in the stay and you have a choice of American or Indonesian breakfast.
There is a menu available for lunch and dinner. You simply order one day in advance and the staff do the rest. The chef will purchase the ingredients, prepare and cook meals and serve you at the desired mealtime.
Sky Li has a grocery system, like most villas in Bali, which means you pay for ingredients at cost price and they add a small surcharge to cover the costs involved with sourcing the ingredients and preparing your meals.
Colourful Design
When you book a villa in Bali, it’s nice to have something a little different to back home. That’s what we loved about Sky Li. It’s the use of colour throughout the villa that brings the living areas and bedrooms to life.
The open-air living room gives you the feeling of being in a tropical location. The breeze flows through the room. For those who want a little aircon, just off to one side is a TV room with smart TV, air-conditioning and comfortable couches to lay on.
The bedrooms have white sheets and colourful furnishings complement the style of the living areas. The bathrooms have a vibrant, yet cool style. I almost feel like I’m in Morocco with the use of materials the owner has used.
Incredible Value in Seminyak
We stayed here for two nights and honestly would stay again. The price point is amazing value starting at $350 per night in the low season. Incredible value if you are travelling with 3 couples, each person paying under $60 each. Or if you have a small family.
