Villa Serey offers an enticing fusion of a classic Khmer residence and sophisticated French design. The main house in particular is a beautiful marriage of the two, featuring sleek full wall windows on the ground floor and rustic timber design upstairs. The interiors mix rattan and timber furniture with beautiful Khmer artefacts and pops of modern colour – check out the rainbow hued elephants in the living room! The garden annexe houses one bedroom and echoes the relaxed charm of a classic Khmer abode. Villa Serey is a beautiful place to immerse yourself in Cambodia’s unique and enduring beauty while enjoying all the comforts and conveniences of a contemporary villa.

Living Room

The living room captures the modern feel of the villa with its polished concrete floors and extensive windows which gaze over those lush gardens. An arrangement of sofas sits at the centre of the room, allowing guests to relax and mingle while admiring the scenery. The sofas are rendered in natural rattan with grey cushions adding a modern touch. The room is dotted with interesting curios and beautiful art pieces giving nods to local Khmer heritage. A stunning floating staircase leads up to the first floor where you will discover another lounge room. This one features a lazy daybed, a writing desk and cabinets decorated with artful carvings and objets d’art.

Dining Room

The dining area is a fluid extension of the ground floor living room. The open floorplan allows conversation to flow uninterrupted between guests gathered around the eight-seater dining table and those lingering on the inviting living room sofas. The dining chairs echo the contemporary wicker design of the sofas. There is a second dining area near the windows where guests can dine alfresco when the glass doors are left open. Close by on the same floor, the villa’s kitchen wows with its granite countertops, bright red cabinets and a full range of appliances, including an espresso machine, toaster, blender, juicer and more.

Garden

The villa is nestled by neatly maintained gardens that offer an enticing fusion of manicured lawns, lush tropical flowers and palm trees dancing in the breeze. The standout feature is obviously the 10-metre long saltwater pool that sits at the heart of the estate, offering welcome respite from the tropical weather. The pool is framed by curved sunbeds and elegant parasols so you always have a choice between sun and shade. The villa occupies a rare, private forested area of the city which means the whole estate is surrounded by trees and lush greenery. It really is hard to imagine a more luscious setting.

Villa Serey features four bedrooms. The bedrooms are fresh, contemporary and comfortable, with polished timber and handmade artefacts injecting a touch of the local culture. There are three bedrooms in the main house – one on the ground floor and two upstairs. The fourth bedroom is located in a separate garden pavilion. All rooms are complimented by an ensuite bathroom.

Villa Serey is a four-bedroom villa that’s divided into two pavilions. The living and dining areas are located on the ground floor of the main house, along with one bedroom. There are two more bedrooms located upstairs. These two rooms are connected through a lounge room. The fourth bedroom is located on the upper floor of the second building. The villa has lovely tropical gardens and a 10 x 4 metre swimming pool.

Villa Manager

Villa Serey’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Housekeeping

Housekeepers attend the villa daily to take care of all domestic duties.

Butlers

Butlers are on hand daily to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout the day.

Villa Serey is located in Siem Reap in Cambodia. The villa is located right on the precipice of the city, offering a relaxing and quiet setting that’s still only a moment’s drive from all that this vibrant city has to offer. In recent years, Siem Reap has really taken off and the city offers an enticing array of restaurants and markets for visitors to explore. It only takes around 5 – 10 minutes to reach Pub Street, the central drag lined with vibrant restaurants and market stalls. You’ll also find exquisite restaurants even closer to home – make sure you visit Le Cul-de-Sac and Nearadey Café. The area’s main draw, the iconic temples of Angkor Wat, are also easily accessible from the villa. It only takes about 15 minutes to reach the UNESCO-protected temple complex from Villa Serey.
