This is the life – Powderlife. Named after Niseko’s sought-after champagne powder snow, Powderlife offers gorgeous snow-covered glimpses of Japan’s powder capital. Chilledmoose is easily one of the coolest Niseko Instagram accounts you can follow. The man behind the lens is Nolan Yoshiaki Isozaki, a self-described “California Bred Coffee Drinker” who based on his Instagram feed spends much of his time scaling the most epic mountains of Hokkaido. Chilledmoose’s inspiring gallery is a cool mix of mountainside views and adventure travel – think untamed waterfalls and bouldering, with more than a few epic meals thrown in for good measure.

If Rhythm Japan’s Instagram feed doesn’t get you excited for the ski season, it’s safe to say nothing will. The Niseko and Hakuba based ski, snowboard and bike store shares cool shots and plenty of videos of Niseko’s best slopes and most adventurous powder hounds, as well as the region’s summertime beauty. Aaron Jamieson is a Japan based photographer whose Instagram feed offers unique perspectives to the snow-covered mountains and cosy izakaya pubs of Hokkaido. Aaron’s gallery is beautifully varied and along with those iconic shots of Niseko’s snow covered beauty you’ll also see intriguing glimpses of Shinto shrines, local artisans and Hokkaido’s wildlife.
