Beachfront Perfection
Hidden from the beaten path in serene Candidasa, Villa Manis Beachfront boasts one of the most beautiful locations in Bali. The blue shimmer of the ocean is stunning and having your own private beach feels very indulgent.
We loved the catamaran style nets suspended over the beach – and don’t even get us started on the sea view sauna and Jacuzzi. It felt like paradise!
Wandering Through Wonderland
Remarkably, the villa’s design lives up to its sensational setting. This is an art villa through and through, filled with eclectic pieces ranging from heritage treasures to batik lamps and from velvet Chesterfield couches to carpets sourced from the Middle East. Every little detail felt unique and special.
While the design is full of art and whimsy, the villa is also very comfortable and dare we say functional. The beautiful living room is surrounded by full wall glass which meant we could take in the gorgeous sea views while also staying comfortable with the AC running.
Designed to Inspire
Villa Manis Beachfront offers art and inspiration in all forms – including music. The eclectic living room (with its cool mirrored ceiling) is fitted with DJ equipment, a drum set, a guitar and a piano.
It’s these kinds of details that let you know when a villa is a passion project rather than a mere business venture. That energy just shines through and leaves you feeling inspired.
Creative Kitchen
There is nothing quite like picture perfect sea views to kick start your day, and the incredible breakfast spread made it feel all the more special. Here too the attention to detail was fantastic.
Our breakfast was served on antique plates which you can see displayed in that teal blue cabinet. The crockery was beautifully mismatched, offering unique combinations of colours and style. The effect was very playful and beautiful – just like the villa itself.
Choices, Choices – Which Bedroom is the Most Beautiful?
Right on arrival, the team had given us the grand tour and showed us the five bedrooms. It was immediately clear that this would be a tough choice: we couldn’t decide which room we loved the most! The primary bedroom obviously has some wow factor. It’s housed upstairs and faces the ocean and even has a private terrace to really maximise the views. The gorgeous ensuite bathroom comes with the most exquisite bathtub.
In the end, we selected the garden room which is positioned to the back of the house. While this room doesn’t have ocean views, we loved that it opened to the most luscious tropical garden. Add to this the opulent materials and elegant colouring… The room just felt irresistible to us.
A True Work of Art
Villa Manis Beachfront is beautiful through and through. One of the things we enjoyed the most was simply wandering through the property, admiring the choices that the owner had made in assembling this masterpiece. Because that is what this villa really is – a true work of art.
