Our team is fortunate enough to experience hundreds of incredible luxury villas. Prior to our stay we had seen pictures of Villa Jamadara and knew the amenities we could expect to experience. Upon arrival to the villa, the doors open and WOW what a first impression we were blown away with. As you move through the grand entry-way you can see glimpses of the infinity pool that blends into the Indian Ocean in the distance.
Checking In
We are immediately greeted and personally welcomed to our villa by Dewa and Merta who make a point of remembering all guest names. Our butlers tell us about each of the pavilions which we have the option of staying in. They all come with king sized beds, ensuite bathrooms, outdoor showers and Instagram worthy bath tubs.
I am immediately drawn to the large open plan lounge, big enough to fit our whole group with fresh cold coconuts awaiting our arrival. The large triangular infinity pool is calling my name, but first I want to explore the villa and all that this tropical modern oasis has to offer.
I decided to explore our luxurious villa and discovered a media room with the latest movies and Netflix! Outside the media room and study, we found an outdoor seating area. We would recommend taking time out here to allow yourself to feel the ocean breeze on your face and hear the sound of the waves crashing against the cliff edge. It’s easy to relax and enjoy one of the many outdoor seating areas at Villa Jamadara. Whether it be outside the second level study and media room, or in one of the sunken day beds, Villa Jamadara has been well thought out to include enough room for everyone.
Layout
Villa Jamadara is a 5-bedroom oasis that blends modern architecture with impeccably groomed grounds. Located within the estate of The Ungasan Clifftop Resort, it offers complete privacy from the outside world. In the villa lilyponds weave throughout the walk-ways and bathrooms with coy fish swimming beneath you as you relax in your outdoor bath.
There are two dining areas to enjoy, both with unhindered views of the ocean. With the tropical warmth, an outdoor BBQ dinner by the pool would be great for families to come together to dine as well as allow for parents to keep an eye on the children playing in the pool.
VIP Treatment
As a guest staying at Villa Jamadara we were invited to enjoy VIP access to Sundays Beach Club which is accurately referred to as a private piece of paradise. Our butlers ask where we wish to sit on arrival and explain the set up to us being first timers. We have the choice of sitting in restaurant style seating or chill out in bean bags surrounding a fire pit. We of course want the whole experience and choose to do both, starting off in the restaurant for a bite to eat and then moving onto the bean bags to relax and see the sunset around the bonfires.
Rise and Shine
The next morning, we all rise for breakfast together (our butler Merta visited us at Sundays Beach Club to take our breakfast order ready for the next morning). We chose to be seated at the dining room table over-looking the pool and incredible glistening view of the ocean. We could hear the waves crashing against the coastline and feel the heat of the morning sun.
Like clock-work at 7:30am our breakfast was served. Our group chose a mix of continental breakfasts with eggs on toast and sides of bacon, as well as traditional Indonesian cuisine. Dewa had also arranged for fresh coconuts, orange juice and fruit platters be served which was the perfect touch of cooling freshness to spark the start of our day!
Before Check Out
Some of us chose to enjoy the sunshine and take a dip in the pool (we loved the pool water temperature). Others enjoyed the incredible ocean views and chose to do some work in the outdoor seating area by the pool. Dewa and Merta were always on hand if we felt like refreshments or wanted fruit from the welcome basket cut up to enjoy.
Villa Jamadara is the perfect example of if you stay just one night in a villa you will never stay in a hotel again.
