Nai Harn landscape is unique in its kind. Shredded by the stunning lagoon, Nai Harn beach is a favourite place among tourists and locals to soak in the naturally formed pool and indulge in the amazing views of the luxurious yachts moored at a distance.
Nai Harn features with a fair number of tourist facilities and accommodations thanks to the monastery, located in the middle of the beach, which has prevented the excessive development of the area. As a result, Nai Harn boasts of lesser crowded shorelines and fewer beachfront hotel resorts that occupy the beach.
The beautiful Nai Harn beach is excellent for swimming and snorkelling. Numerous Thai-style restaurants are located just above the beach serving both local and international cuisines to satisfy your taste buds. You can find a refuge from the tropical heat in one of the bars, relax and sip the juice overlooking the gorgeous Andaman Sea.
Further south, there are two hidden beaches – Ya Nui and Ao Sane – ideal for chilling out and soaking in the crystal clear waters. Ya Nui beach offers fantastic snorkelling in the sandy cave that teems with various marine species, while Ao Sane is just perfect to laze and relax.
In the afternoon fruit vendors set their stalls on the road along the Nai Harn beach offering some of the most exotic fruits to try: dragon and star fruits, mangosteen and papaya are only a few to number.
In the same place, hawkers lay out their unsold items including leather boots and belts, funny T-shirts and other knick-knacks offering sunburnt tourists to have a look and negotiate the price. Several tiny shops lining the beach offer usual batik, sarongs, scarfs and beach toys.
If you are looking for souvenirs to bring back home, there are a couple of shops in the area offering handmade paintings, art and wood carvings. Overall, shopping in Nai Harn is rather limited so more compulsive shoppers might need to check Patong and Phuket Town regions for a more serious shopping.
Most travellers opt Nai Harn for the relax-on-the-beach type of holiday. Indeed, its fabulous bays and beautiful lagoons are splendid to lay around on the silvery sand and soak in the gorgeous Andaman Sea.
When you get tired of lazy days, treat yourself to a Thai massage provided by the local women on the mats put right on the sand or take a short walk around massage shops spread around the area to opt the one, which better corresponds to your expectations. Thanks to an international community that has opted Nai Harn as its home base, there are now several talented chefs who will amaze you with their culinary skills.
Those seeking for seclusion can try to find a tiny eatery hidden in the southern end of the beach. The small restaurant built on the rocky platform serves only a few tables, and it’s hard to find the entrance but once you find, you will be rewarded with an amazing view and delicious Thai dishes.
Nai Harn nightlife scene features with the laid-back and relaxed atmosphere. Visitors usually hit one or two bars before returning to their villas and hotels.
Most of the shack-style drinking establishments line the beach and serve a great variety of drinks: from the local beer to the exotic cocktails.
Travellers choose Nai Harn for its serenity and relaxed atmosphere so do not expect the frantic nightlife scene there. If you want some diverse and vivid evening out, head to Patong, which is a 45-minute drive from Nai Harn, where all kinds of nightlife entertainment are available.
Situated towards the south of Phuket International Airport on the South Phuket, Nai Harn features with the unique landscape and mesmerising views attracting visitors to stay away from the hustle-and-bustle of western locations.
Rawai seduces visitors with its secluded bay and natural beauty, mostly occupied by the local fishermen, the northern end is a preferred area among expats.
This scenic area hosts numerous chartered boats that bring travellers to the nearest islands to swim and soak the sun, as Chalong is not suitable for swimming.
Kata is a coastal town featuring with the postcard blue water, swaying coconut palms, and soft sand ideal for swimming with many restaurants and shops.

Although it is possible to get to Nai Harn, Phuket over land or water, the best way is to fly.
It can take between 1,5 hours to 2 hours to reach Nai Harn from Phuket International Airport depending on traffic. Ministry of Villas can arrange a chauffeur to greet you upon arrival and escort you to your villa.
Alternatively, there is a taxi desk at the arrival level which arranges one-way fares at a fixed-price. You can opt one of the transfer options – a shared mini van with other travellers or a private taxi.

Nai Harn is easily walkable with its shady beachside broad walks and numerous paths running across or parallel to the beach. You can cover the area on foot within a couple of hours admiring the beautiful natural and cultural sites while strolling its splendid beachfront paths.
There are only a few rental shops in Nai Harn, and the selection is rather limited. Moving around on a scooter is a fast way to get to the destination point, however, a certain level of experience is required. Most important: you must have an international drivers license on your person at all times otherwise the local police can issue you a ticket with a summons to appear in court. And, of course, make sure you wear a helmet.
The taxi in Nai Harn area can be found in the designated taxi ranks or required by phone. Always opt metered taxis as the travel by a minivan not equipped with a meter can be overpriced.
Tuk-tuk is an easy and fast way to move around the area, though it is not recommended if you need to travel to longer distances due to the reasons of safety and comfort.
