Usually, the scenario goes a little something like this. You’re strolling down the street and see a chalkboard advertising “live music tonight.” You sit down with a cold one… aaand the band starts playing yet another cover of Sweet Child of Mine.

Epic Live Music
The Orchard is a gastro pub centrally located in Seminyak, but the place still maintains the feel of a hidden gem.
The warm and welcoming venue sits in a side alley off Seminyak’s main drag, surrounded by some of the most sought-after villas in Seminyak, including one of our all-time favourites, Villa Kubu, which is literally just around the corner.
The Orchard described itself as the “Home of Indonesian music” and boy do they mean it! The venue hosts live music sets several nights a week – and we’re not talking any top 40 cheese here. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are the official band nights, but additional surprise sets are also a regular occurrence.
At The Orchard, live music means talented local and visiting musicians playing everything from acoustic folk to reggae and from rock ’n’ roll to dancehall. The sets are creative jam sessions between artists and stretch out into the small wee hours of the night.
If you’re lucky enough to visit The Orchard on a night the bands are playing, you really do feel like you’ve stumbled into something special.
Home Away from Home
What about the food you say? The Orchard specialises in gourmet pub grub and pretty much anything you order is bound to be delicious and very filling – the portions here are very generous.
Besides the great burgers and breakfast spreads, The Orchard is known for their epic Sunday roast, which many credit as being the best in Bali. IDR 150,000 (USD $11) gets you a huge serving of your choice of prime beef, pork or chicken with the trimmings, plus a glass of beer or wine.
Speaking of beer, The Orchard has a great selection of beer on tap – they even claim it’s the largest selection in Bali!
The Orchard prides itself for offering some of the friendliest service you’ll find anywhere in Bali. And true enough, this cosy Seminyak hideaway really does feel like a home from home.
