With so many restaurants in Legian, Bali it’s hard to know which ones to try, that’s why we have compiled a list of the most popular Legian restaurants. Our team has taken on the hard task of trying each one out, tasting all the wines and meals so we can give you our honest opinion.

Sip

Known for wine, opposite Bintang supermarket in Legian. We have been meaning to try it for nearly a year and finally did. Great wine list and the service was 5 star for Bali but the meals were a little disappointing. Our soup was boiling and my husband burnt his mouth, the main meal too salty and the creme brulee was burnt. We would go back and give them a second chance and certainly worth popping into to see what the buzz is all about however make sure you bring the cheque-book.

Double-Six

This new Italian restaurant on the roof-top with ocean views is going to be a winner. We stopped in on a Saturday evening at 5pm and unfortunately the all day dining they advertise didn’t actually apply. Dinner starts at 6pm however for a light bite they offer the famous Italian aperitivo hour. The Italians enjoy pre-dinner drinks from 5pm to the start of dinner accompanied by fresh meats and olives. Here at Double-Six you can also enjoy ‘happy hour’ before dinner if you buy a selected drink. Great wine list and food however too many mosquitoes outside, bring some spray or stay inside.

Mozzarella

The restaurant receives mixed reviews on Tripadvisor however we had a great experience. Simple yet yummy meals. We managed to be there for 2 for 1 cocktails and the Lychee Martini’s could be described as the best on the island. The service was fast and the views out to the ocean, as you can see were fantastic.

Mozzarella Restaurant

Tommy’s

If you are craving the comforts of home like vegemite, milo and salad sandwiches with corn beef that mum makes then you have found the right place. This hidden gem is a little cafe restaurant open for lunch only. The service is personalised however can be a little slow as you can taste everything is freshly made. Lunch here is under $10 and no taxes added.

Lanai Beach Bar & Grill

One of our old favourites that has been here for years. The food is always good, great views watching the sunsets or for people watching. Located opposite the beach in Legian, Lanai is surrounded by great restaurants that all offer great meals and service.

Gado Gado

Another restaurant that has been around for years and we can see why. The food was small but amazing, the service impeccable and the atmosphere relaxing. If you are looking for something special then this beachfront restaurant is worth making a booking for.

Gado Gado Restaurant

Marzano

A little Italian restaurant that is always packed and been around for years! I have lived in Italy so for me there is no comparison and not the best Italian we have had here in Bali but still good.
