As we gathered by the poolside in a serene alcove embraced by nature, we were treated to a culinary feast that perfectly blended continental and Sri Lankan flavours. From delightful vegetarian dishes to mouth-watering chicken creations, each plate surpassed our expectations. Yet, it was the decadent dessert that stole the show.

Discovering Hidden Treasure
The staff assisted us in arranging a tuk-tuk, allowing us to explore nearby neighbourhoods. Our journey took us to the stunning Hiriketiya beach, a hidden gem located just a short 20-30 minutes away.
The inexplicable beauty of Hiriketiya beach transported us to the sun-soaked shores of Italy. The pristine sands and crystal-clear waters created a picturesque setting, drawing families and couples to swim, surf and soak up good vibes.
As we strolled along the beach, we discovered charming beach clubs and restaurants scattered along the shoreline. Lounging under the shade of palm trees, we sipped on coconut water and delicious cocktails, soaking in the beachside bliss. For those seeking adventure, surfing lessons were readily available.
Embracing Serenity
Villa Mawella provided us with a sense of seclusion and privacy that made our stay feel truly exclusive. Given the size of the estate, we think it’s the perfect retreat for large groups seeking a peaceful and intimate escape.
