Villa Impian Manis captures the very best of Bali. First there is the design: lush, tropical and oh-so Bali. Then there is the service, which is attentive yet discreet and always heartfelt– the epitome of Balinese hospitality.
We were invited to stay and try out the villa for a couple of nights. This allows our team to understand the services firsthand for when you book a stay with Ministry of Villas. This level of insight is something you won’t get when you book anywhere else.
Staying on The Bukit
Villa Impian Manis is located on the Bukit Peninsula, about 30 minutes south from Ngurah Rai Aiport. The villa is a great homebase for sampling this beautiful part of Bali.
You’ll find iconic surf beaches (Dreamland, Bingin and more), great restaurants (El Kabron and Alchemy to name a few) and stunning landmarks (Uluwatu Temple and Garuda Wisnu Cultural Park) all within a 15–30-minute drive from the villa. A car and driver are included in the rates, so you can come and go as you please.
While there is much to do within a close range, we loved the fact that Villa Impian Manis is located in a peaceful area, away from the crowds. Arriving at the villa felt like discovering our own private sanctuary. Gazing at the treetop views and the Indian Ocean glimmering in the distance, it’s impossible not to feel completely at ease.
Sensational Service
While the setting is stunning, the thing that truly sets Villa Impian Manis apart is the service. As the staff has been at the villa for years, they know the villa and its surroundings like the back of their hand and are in perfect sync with each other. This has really allowed them to fine-tune the entire guest experience. The team took great initiative and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.
The villa includes a full-time chef, butlers and housekeeping staff, so you really don’t need to lift a finger. We enjoyed fabulous banquets at the villa and were really impressed both by the quality of the food and the overall presentation.
Unwinding in Style
Throughout, Villa Impian Manis exudes a Balinese charm that’s hard to resist. As we entered the property, we were ushered in through carved Balinese doors with stepping stones perched over koi fishponds leading us into the villa. From stone relief carvings to ornate woodwork and thatched roofs, we love the villa’s fresh take on classic Balinese architecture.
The villa is divided into two buildings and with several living areas to choose from, we felt very comfortable staying here as two couples. We could easily spread out and each do our own thing during the day and then come together to have drinks in the poolside bale in the evenings.
Needless to say, we took advantage of the dedicated spa room, enjoying relaxing massages in blissful privacy. There’s also a sunken jacuzzi set in a private courtyard. The overall effect is incredibly relaxing – exactly what you want on a trip to Bali.
