Ski, dine, sauna… and repeat! Akatsuki invites you to dive in and enjoy everything Furano has to offer, from perfect powder days on the slopes to relaxing evenings in your private sauna. This three-bedroom chalet is ideally positioned in Furano, so you really have everything at your fingertips: the ski lifts are just 500 metres away, and there are plenty of cute little restaurants tucked in the surrounding neighbourhood. Akatsuki is one of the most spacious chalets in Furano, with fabulous living areas positioned on the top floor. From here, you’ll enjoy gorgeous views of Mount Tokachi while tucking into your breakfast or sipping digestifs in the evenings. The sauna is a definite highlight – after sweating it out inside, try rolling in the snow out on the courtyard… but only if you dare!

Akatsuki Chalet Living
It’s very easy to have a good time at Akatsuki. First, there’s the central location which allows you to hit the slopes or pop over to a local restaurant any time you feel like it. Then there are the plush trappings of the chalet itself. The open plan living area is made for wining, dining, and relaxing in style, with fabulous mountain views creating in inspiring backdrop. And it’s not just that the chalet has a sauna – that sauna also opens to a private courtyard so you can soak up the cold air or even dive into the snow. Perfect!
Living Room
The upper floor living areas are dominated by light timber beams which lend the space a modern alpine feel. Framed by large windows looking out to the mountain range, the lounge area features a plush leather sofa with glass doors opening to a scenic balcony. If you prefer, you can also hang out in the traditional tatami room which adjoins the living room.
Dining Room
The dining area is located just a few easy steps from that plush living room sofa. The beautifully sculpted timber table can easily seat all six guests staying at the chalet, with beautiful mountainside views adding to your every meal. The dining area extends to a sleek open plan kitchen fitted with all the essentials, including a coffee machine, rice cooker, and extensive crockery and cutlery.
Akatsuki Chalet Bedrooms
Akatsuki features three bedrooms. These three rooms are all located on the chalet’s ground floor, so the whole group gets to stay close together. The bedrooms are rendered in calm natural tones, with a serene Japanese twist adding to the soothing ambiance. All three rooms feature twin beds.

The first bedroom occupies a corner on the ground floor and features windows on two sides. The room is furnished with twin beds, a work desk, and closets. The ensuite bathroom features a shower, vanity, and toilet.

This room is located across the hall from the first bedroom. It features two single beds, a writing desk, and wardrobes. There is no ensuite bathroom, but there is a large standalone bathroom on the same floor. It features a bathtub, vanity, and toilet. This bathroom connects to the chalet’s sauna through an outdoor terrace.

Akatsuki Chalet Layout
Akatsuki is a three-bedroom chalet that’s built over two floors. The ground floor houses the three bedrooms and a large stand-alone bathroom that’s adjoined by a sauna. The upper floor houses the living and dining areas.
Akatsuki Chalet Staff
Your stay is made enjoyable by the professional staff who have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly hospitality.
Property Manager
The chalet’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the chalet. The property manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.
Housekeeping
Our chalets in Japan often have housekeeping 1 – 2 times per week depending on the property. Each chalet will have their own cleaning schedule.
Location
Akatsuki is located in the ski town of Furano in Hokkaido, Japan. Furano is a skier’s paradise known for its amazingly light and dry powder snow. Akatsuki is centrally located in the ski village, providing easy access to the ski lifts and cosy restaurants tucked in the neighbourhood. The Kitanomine Gondola is about 500 metres away, and the nearest restaurants are within a 200-metre radius. A Lawson convenience store is also just 500 metres away. For more dining and shopping opportunities, you can drive over the river to Furano town in about five minutes.
