CALA SAONA

There is only one word that even comes close to describing Cala Saona: Wow. A dream home-from-home built by a family of two architects, Cala Saona is unlike any villa you’ve ever experienced. Though the modern exterior is beautiful, it hardly does justice to the wonders waiting inside. The living room alone feels like an indoor jungle, with tropical palm trees towering over a fabulous sunken lounge. The whole villa is decorated in tropical style that feels very of the moment, with exposed concrete and full-glass walls beautifully paired with rattan lanterns, rich textiles and vibrant art.

There are five bedrooms in total, two of which interconnect – one of these is a cute kids’ room straight from a Pinterest dream! Then there is the pool, a dreamy lagoon built to resemble your own private beach in the middle of rice fields. Though the setting feels serene, the villa is actually surrounded by the coolest cafes in Canggu and just a moment’s drive from Echo Beach. What more could you ask for?

After you step in and take in all the amazing design, it will hardly come as a surprise that Cala Saona was designed by a family of two architects. From the indoor garden to the double-height ceiling and the lagoon pool waiting outside, the villa is filled with unique design elements. Still, this is by no means a sterile gallery-like setting. Instead, this ambitiously designed villa also evokes the warm and welcoming feel of a family home – if your definition of a family home happens to be a luxurious tropical villa set in Bali’s most coveted neighbourhood, that is.

Living Room

The living room is arguably the most impressive space in the villa – and that really is saying something, as Cala Saona manages to surprise and delight at every turn. Crowned by a lofty double-height ceiling and surrounded by glass doors looking over the pool and the rolling rice fields beyond, the living room can by fully enclosed for air-conditioned comfort when desired. The space is dominated by a fabulous sunken lounge in an elegant shade of grey, dotted with monochrome pillows. This beautiful seating area is framed by a lush indoor garden which will undoubtedly double as the backdrop for many a holiday snap.

Dining Room

The dining room is located to the side of the living room lounge area. Again, guests have the option of enjoying the cool of the AC, with full-wall windows offering beautiful views of the pool and rice paddies while you dine. The dining table is crafted from solid wood and can comfortably seat all 10 guests staying in the villa. The dining room is followed by a well-appointed kitchen equipped with all the crockery, cutlery and appliances you’ll need during your stay. If you prefer to dine alfresco (a barbecue is also available), there is a lovely dining area right outside on the patio, providing unobstructed views of that dreamy blue pool.

Spa

Enjoy blissful pampering in the privacy of your own villa. Cala Saona features a designated spa room located on the lower ground floor of the villa, complete with a massage bed and beautiful tropical design elements.

Garden & Pool

Like the rest of the villa, Cala Saona’s pool goes far beyond the expected. While there are countless private pool villas in Bali, few of them have a pool that evokes the feel of your very own private beach. The unique curve and design of the lagoon pool really does resemble a pristine tropical lagoon, with sunbeds perched on its can’t-believe-it’s-not-real-sand shores. The pool is built on the edge of this elevated property, with mesmerising views looking over the surrounding rice fields. The views are particularly bewitching during sunset. As the final flourish, there is also a cool sunken lounge tucked to the side of the pool – the ultimate setting for sunset cocktails with your entourage.

Cala Saona has five beautifully designed bedrooms. There are three bedrooms on the top floor, two of which interconnect, offering a great option for families. One room is on the ground floor next to the living areas and one room is on the lower ground floor next to the spa room. All rooms are decorated in the villa’s signature bohemian style and feature elegant ensuite bathrooms, with beautiful washbasins incorporated into the bedrooms themselves.

Cala Saona is a five-bedroom villa that’s built over three levels. The main floor is where you will find the living and dining areas, the kitchen and one guest bedroom. Upstairs, there are three more bedrooms, two of which interconnect. The lower ground floor houses the villa’s spa room and one guest bedroom. The villa has a private swimming pool surrounded by green lawns and palm trees.

Your stay in Cala Saona is made enjoyable by the professional staff. Cala Saona’s staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly Balinese hospitality.

Villa Manager

Cala Saona’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Housekeeping

You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.

Butlers

Butlers are on hand everyday to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout your stay.

Security

It’s nice to know you have security and many villas will have full-time guards or night time security available. Additional security can also be arranged if the villa doesn’t include any in the daily rate.

Cala Saona is located in the cooler-than-cool Canggu neighbourhood in Bali, Indonesia. The villa is positioned in a quiet lane just off Jalan Pantai Batu Mejan, a winding street lined at turns by rice paddies, local houses and temples and an increasing number of trendy cafes, restaurants and boutiques. There are countless great dining options within minutes from the villa – Sweet Escape, Waroeng Sushi and El Crudo are all literally just a five-minute stroll away. When you feel like dining at home, you can pick up healthy groceries at Alive Wholefoods which is located just 200 metres from Cala Saona. The beautiful Samadi Bali yoga studio (which also hosts a popular Sunday market) is just 500 metres away. Last but certainly not least, Cala Saona is only a 5 – 10-minute drive from La Brisa beach club and the famous surf breaks waiting at Echo Beach.
