Camellia Ranch Living
Camellia Ranch is a beautiful symphony of three hues: luminous white, lush green, and shimmering turquoise. These shades are echoed throughout the villa – no matter where you are, you’re surrounded by elegant white décor and blissful views of the green tea fields and the blue infinity pool. Perched atop a hill enveloped by tea fields, the villa offers a truly magical setting and a wonderful sense of peace and privacy.
Living Room
Echoing the white theme of the villa, the living room is decorated in light tones and surrounded by full wall windows. The space is fully fitted for keeping the whole group entertained, featuring a generous sofa and armchairs along with a large smart TV and PlayStation console. There’s also a collection of board games, perfect for cosy nights spent in.
Dining Room
The dining room is a beautiful space encased in glass, with full wall windows ensuring dreamy views of the pool and the surrounding landscape while you dine. The long dining table can easily seat all 10 guests staying at the villa, while the adjoining kitchen offers all the essentials, including Smeg appliances and a Nespresso machine.
Garden & Pool
The villa’s surroundings are as pretty as a picture, with views gazing over lush tea fields and vibrant green forest. The best place to drink in the scenery is the villa’s sleek infinity pool, though the sun loungers perched on the neighbouring lawn come in as a close second. The pool is flanked by a beautiful white pavilion furnished with ample seats. It’s the perfect place to unwind with a steaming cup of Ceylon tea after an exciting day spent exploring the island.

Camellia Ranch Layout
Camellia Ranch is a five-bedroom villa that’s built over a single floor. The villa features extensive living and dining areas and five ensuite bedrooms. The villa also has a private infinity pool. The villa is set amidst a working tea plantation.
Camellia Ranch Staff
Your stay in Camellia Ranch is made enjoyable by the professional staff. Camellia Ranch’s staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly Sri lankan hospitality.
Villa Manager
Camellia Ranch’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.
Housekeeping
You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.
Butlers
Butlers are on hand daily to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout your stay.
Chef
The villa’s skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements.
Security
It’s nice to know you have security and many villas will have full-time guards or night time security available. Additional security can also be arranged if the villa doesn’t include any in the daily rate.

Camellia Ranch is located in Baddegama in southwest Sri Lanka. The villa offers the most magical setting, perched atop a scenic hill in the middle of a thriving tea plantation. From its vantage point, the villa offers incredible views and an amazing feeling of serenity. Camellia Ranch is located about 45 minutes from UNESCO-protected Galle Fort and about 35 minutes from Hikkaduwa surf beach.

My family and I spent New Year’s Eve at Camellia Ranch, where we also celebrated our son’s first birthday, and it was truly a memorable stay. While the property itself is stunning and the food was outstanding, what stood out most for us was the impeccable service and the genuinely attentive staff who went above and beyond to make our experience special.
Prior to our arrival, I had mentioned that we would be traveling with a baby and having not had a baby stay at the property prior to our arrival, I was told that the villa did not have a cot. However, few days prior to our stay, I was informed that a cot had been arranged. On arrival, we were amazed to learn that the General Manager had personally travelled from Colombo to deliver not only a lovely cot for our son, but also a thoughtful personalized gift, card, and balloons to celebrate his first birthday. From that moment on, we knew our stay was going to be something truly special — and it absolutely was.
Camellia Ranch is beautifully positioned atop a hill, with an infinity pool offering stunning views of paddy fields and flowing streams. The living spaces are exceptionally well equipped with everything you could need, including speakers, fans, TVs, and games, while the open-plan kitchen, fitted with top-notch equipment, was perfect for preparing our son’s birthday celebrations. The bedrooms and bathrooms were equally impressive — comfortable, elegant, and thoughtfully designed.
The food throughout our stay was delicious and beautifully presented, and every request was met with warmth and a smile. We honestly had no complaints at all and would return without hesitation. Thank you to the entire Camellia Ranch team for making our son’s first birthday getaway so incredibly special. It’s truly appreciated and will not be forgotten 😊
