Cantaloupe House Living
Cantaloupe House is a meticulously restored walauwa, a grand manor home traditional occupied by noble headmen. The property has been given a new luxurious lease on life but the villa still maintains its cultural heritage, visible both in the colonial architecture and tastefully styled interiors. The swimming pool waiting outdoors is simply the icing on the cake.
Living Room
Life at the villa is mostly an alfresco affair, with breezy living areas occupying breezy verandas and open-plan pavilions. The beautiful pavilion protruding the pool is a wonderful place for the whole group to gather around in, with plush sofas and plantation chairs offering ample seating.
Dining Room
The dining room features a long timber table comfortably seating a group of 10 at a time. Meals can also be set outside on the shaded veranda.
Garden
The villa is crowned by a fabulous swimming pool which offers a blissful break from the tropical sun. When not busy enjoying the pool, guests have a choice between sun and shade with a row of sun loungers flanked by a romantic gazebo overlooking the pool.

Cantaloupe House has six bedrooms. Five rooms come with king-sized beds and one room features two single beds. The bedrooms are decorated in elegant muted tones using classic furniture.

Cantaloupe House is a six-bedroom villa that’s built over two levels. The living and dining areas along with five bedrooms are located on the ground floor. One bedroom is located on the upper floor. The villa has a private swimming pool.

Your stay in Cantaloupe House is made enjoyable by the professional staff. Cantaloupe House’s staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly hospitality.
Villa Manager
Cantaloupe House’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.
Housekeeping
You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.
Butlers
Butlers are on hand every day to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout your stay.
Chef
The villa’s skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements.

It’s nice to know you have security and many villas will have full-time guards or night time security available. Additional security can also be arranged if the villa doesn’t include any in the daily rate.

Cantaloupe House is located in Ahangama in southern Sri Lanka. Nestled in a coastal village, the property is located a short drive from the coastline with beaches offering beautiful white sand and a prime opportunity for surfing. Guests also enjoy convenient access to the main road which connects you to must-visit highlights including national parks, beaches and the UNESCO protected Galle Fort.

A Sri Lankan Country House Hotel.
The garden and pool area are tasteful in layout and further enhanced by the illumination available upon a nighttime arrival. Upon entering the hotel one is aware of the consideration taken to preserve and integrate the magnificent features of the building which is furnished throughout with many fine antiques. The rooms are most comfortable, and spacious with high ceilings, Bathrooms likewise have the most modern fittings one could wish for. The small dedicated hotel team led by the delightful Shiani!? caters to one’s comfort and enjoyment. Nothing is too much trouble. Local known Tuk Tuk drivers and cabs are available upon request. Dining is a mixture of Sri Lankan and Western. The Crab Curry, Fish, and Sea Food Platter were feasts of the highest standard. Regarding location, the beach area is an easy walk (downhill!!) and Shiani can arrange trips to Galle Fort, Tea Plantations, and Turtle / Whale watching to name but a few, Without hesitation I would recommend Cantaloupe House and its staff to anyone desiring a peaceful but fulfilling vacation.

Most Gorgeous Property – Ahangama
Cantaloupe House Ahangama is a charming boutique hotel, snuggled in a quiet location. As you walk in through the driveway into House, you are instantly enveloped by the serenity and gorgeous courtyard surrounding the main pool. It is a small intimate House with exceptional interior and tastefully decorated rooms which is extremely comfortable. The pastel shades and light colors create a cozy ambience. The bathroom is just as spacious opening up to a private outdoor space. The private outdoor opened up to a hot tub in the room I stayed in. Meals are fabulous, offering a spread of local cuisine cooked to perfection using location specific spices. They have very attentive staff and their exceptional service and amenities makes House an excellent choice. Home away from home!

Set back from the beach, in the hills is this lovely renovated villa. The villa has a relaxing vibe, fabulous finishes and a true gem. Amazing value for a group looking for a special villa without breaking the bank. Life at the villa is mostly an alfresco affair, with breezy living areas occupying breezy verandas and open-plan pavilions with the swimming pool as the main attraction as you enter the villa.

Beautiful villa with Mediterranean charm and the friendliest, welcoming and accommodating staff. We stayed there for 8 nights in the junior suite and would book again anytime. Rooms and property are super clean, well maintained beautifully furnished. Also, highly recommend their breakfast and dinner options!

Calm and relaxing place
We loved this place, an old colonial bungalow situated ab 100m inland from the main Galle road and beach area. It’s ab a 10-15 minute drive to Unawatuna. You can rent scooters and go around. The place has a nice pool and a very relaxing atmosphere. I stayed in the suite upstairs and it was serene and private. My and friends had a great time and the staff Shihani and Janidhu gave us exceptional service. They were nice enough to customize everything including food as per our taste n requests which we really appreciate. The outdoor bathroom took away all the stress and gave a refreshing feeling. This place is ideal if u want to have a calm and relaxing getaway.

Hidden Paradise
Our little family stayed there for 2 nights. Spacious bedroom and even more spacious bathroom. Close to the ocean and all activities and at the same time far from the ruch traffic of the coast road. Great Haouse, super style and nice chill pool :)
