Echo Rocks Living
Living the good life comes easy at Echo Rocks. As soon as you step through the front door, you’re welcomed into a world of modern style and plush comfort. During winter, your toes are kept nice and toasty by the hydronic underfloor heating and when the weather gets warm, all rooms are kept cool by the AC. The furniture is beautifully curated and highly functional, and all the appliances are of the highest quality, from the smart TV to the Nescafe coffee machine. Yet another highlight are those mesmerising views – there is nothing quite like cuddling up on the sofa with a steaming cup of cocoa while gazing out to Happo One!
Living Room
Accessed through a floating staircase, the living room is an impressive space that’s flooded with natural light and frosty views of Hakuba’s nature. This lounge room features two robin blue sofas and an artfully distressed carpet echoing the same hues. You can either grab a seat and get lost in the views looking out to Happo One or stream your favourite shows on the 65-inch TV. A scenic balcony is beautifully wedged between the lounge room and the dining area. If you need to catch up on some emails or jump on a conference call, the living room also features a generous workspace.
Dining Room
The full wall windows make the dining area feel nothing short of luminous. The space is dominated by a light timber table surrounded by eight white-and-timber chairs. The dining area extends to an open-plan kitchen fitted with all the essentials and then some, including a sleek AEG oven and cooktop and a Nescafe coffee machine.
Echo Rocks Bedrooms
Echo Rocks features four bedrooms. The bedrooms, which are located on the ground floor, have a light and airy feel to them – the perfect setup for some restorative sleep after a rigorous day on the slopes. All four rooms offer the choice between a king-sized bed or two singles based on guests’ preference. There is also an extra “maid’s” bedroom on the upper floor. This compact room features a single bed.

The first bedroom is located on the ground floor. The room is furnished with a king-sized bed (or two singles if you prefer) and closets. The ensuite bathroom features a shower, vanity and toilet.

Echo Rocks Layout
Echo Rocks is a four-bedroom chalet that’s built over two floors. The ground floor houses all four bedrooms. The upper floor houses the living areas, plus a maid’s room which features a single bed.
Echo Rocks Staff
Your stay is made enjoyable by the professional staff who have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly hospitality.
Property Manager
The chalet’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the chalet. The property manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.
Housekeeping
Our chalets in Japan often have housekeeping 1 – 2 times per week depending on the property. Each chalet will have their own cleaning schedule.
Location
Echo Rocks is located in the Hakuba ski region at the foot of the Japanese Alps. The chalet is positioned just on the edge of Echoland and offers marvellous views looking out to Happo One. From this rarefied locale, you can stroll to the main dining strip in about five minutes. Here you’ll find izakaya eateries and cosy cafes to explore after days spent out on the slopes. The Happo One ski lifts are located about five minutes from the chalet, while Hakuba 47 and Goryu are about 10 minutes away.

We were a group of 6 women and stayed for 1 night and 2 days.The host handled things politely and quickly, and I had the impression that they were very friendly.
The facilities were also as pictured, and even better than that, they were clean, stylish, and fashionable. I didn’t bring a dish towel, so I used kitchen paper instead. The kitchen was also easy to use.The bedroom was also comfortable.I was very satisfied, so I will use it again next time.

I wish I could give this awesome property a six-star rating. From the moment we made the booking until we checked out, our interactions with the remote staff were extremely pleasant. Jason’s responses were prompt and helpful.
The upkeep of the property is tip-top. It felt like it was newly built. The house was clean, cosy, and very comfortable. The appliances and utensils in the kitchen were complete and extremely well maintained.
Communication with the staff was very easy for check-in and check-out and when asking for assistance. Jason and the staff were awesome in correcting a mis-arrangement of beds in one of the bedrooms. This deserved an additional star.
The views from the living room and kitchen were awesome. Our family was extremely happy to stay at this fantastic property for three nights. We will definitely stay at Echo Rocks when we next visit Hakuba.

A very large and beautiful chalet in front of the mountains of Hakuba. There was a supermarket nearby, and it was in a good location.
I liked the open feeling of the living room and kitchen! The furniture, appliances, and dishes were also clean.

Lovely place!!! Many nice food options around, and we had a good lamb barbecue. The apartment was also really nice and cosy, with ample space for luggage and gatherings.
The amenities provided were also very clean, including pots and pans, cups and bowls, knives, etc. Will definitely come back to stay again!

We truly enjoyed our stay—this house exceeded all expectations. The photos don’t do it justice. The moment we walked in, we were speechless. It’s absolutely beautiful. We arrived at night, so we couldn’t see much through the tall windows, but when morning came, we were greeted with a breathtaking view of Happo One.
The area is peaceful, with plenty of great restaurants and cafés nearby. The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive throughout our stay. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

The host team was very responsive to our inquiries, kindly helped receive our snowboard equipment, and even provided a complimentary 9-seater van and station transfer service, which was greatly appreciated.
The house was in excellent condition and exactly as shown in the photos. It was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The large dishwasher was especially convenient for our group cooking. The location was also great, with a Lawson convenience store and hot springs nearby.

It was a lovely place where we stayed for about a week towards the end of winter. A basic minivan was provided.
The house was simply designed with function in mind. There was a snowboard storage room outside the main door, along with a heated boots and gloves rack indoors.
Four bedrooms make up the lower floors. The first, from the main door, and the last were en-suite. Once you reach upstairs, a massive open space greets you. On one side sits the spacious living room with a high ceiling, and on the other is a well-furnished kitchen with an island counter, as well as a long table that comfortably seats six to eight people. A small balcony nestled between the living and dining room allows you to enjoy the mountain view and fresh air.
Would definitely plan to return!

The location of the villa is very aesthetically appealing and calming. Inside looks just like it does in the pictures, and the house was well-equipped with all amenities and utensils.
The host Jason was very responsive, and check-in was very easy. They even had a helpful guidebook on the dining table with things to do around Hakuba. Also, this stay was everything I hoped it would be.
