It would be even better if improved on the food
hideaway is a very beautiful island and we were lucky enough to have a nice holiday there. It is worth mentioning that the water villa is very large, with its own swimming pool, and the scenery of the sea lake is very beautiful. The island has a top-notch snorkeling environment where you can see all kinds of fish, turtles, and the eagle ray… The management of the hotel is also very good, the butler uttam is very good and always ready to help us with our little problems and sent us Easter chocolates. Lucky for us, the hotel gave us a free upgrade water fly. In short, the experience is very memorable journey of a lifetime.

We have been guest on many resorts in Maldives but your hotel is truly amazing. The reef, the food, the staff – everything has been perfect. Deluxe water villa with pool was over our expectations. Our cleaning guy was perfectionist. Absolutely quiet and invisible but our villa was being cleaned perfectly twice a day.

A must, at least once in your lifetime!
Simply a paradise on earth. We chose this place due to recommendation for its House reef , and the snorkeling near meeru bar did not disappoint-it is simply astonishing, with crystal blue waters. swimming there is like being in a well-stocked aquarium. We saw eagle rays, baby sharks, hundreds of thousands of reef fishes, moray eels and more. Definitely bring your GoPro – or rent one from them. We were well taken care of by Jokey who made sure we felt comfortable in every way. All the staff were wonderful and obliging – Layaan at meeru bar helped arrange our Seafood sharing platter which was divine. Freshly caught Maldivian seafood eaten by the sea is a must. We stayed at both beach and water villas for a varied experience, and both have their charms. If there is a downside it would be the transfer here with a long wait time for the seaplane (3hrs). But it’s worthwhile upon seeing the splendid place, and all will be forgotten once you arrive.

Best choice, happy honeymoon. Most of the meals were fresh and tasty. There were some foods that were a bit salty sometimes, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. Incredible experience! The island is beautiful beyond words, the bungalows are a dream, and the service is unmatched. Been to many, many resorts in our lives and this was head and shoulders above the rest. Any reviews that aren’t 5 stars should be taken with a grain of salt… some people are just complainers to their core. If you can’t be happy here… you need to look internally as to why.
We want to give a special shout-out to our 2 favorite islanders, Neha & Dino. Incredible people who genuinely cared. 10/10 stay. Thank you to all involved in making this such a memorable honeymoon!

Fabulous
We had a wonderful stay at The Hideaway. It was truly relaxing waking up to the view each morning from our water villa. We had an ocean side sunrise over water villa which suited us well as it meant in the afternoons we could relax under the canopy on our terrace in the shade with lovely refreshing gentle breezes blowing. The only disadvantage is the water is a little choppy for swimming on this side but as our pool was larger than expected this didn`t matter. We enjoyed the snorkelling which was absolutely stunning on the house reef & would definitely recommend the tour to start you off. It would have been useful to have a couple of flags on the beach to remind you where the best entrance & exits to the reef were as these can be difficult to spot, particularly if you overshoot them & have to swim against the current to return to them !
We enjoyed lessons in paddle tennis & stand up paddle where the instructors were so patient & encouraging. I also enjoyed a wonderful yoga session with Kranchi. The dolphin tour was also well worth doing. The thing that makes this resort so outstanding is the staff. Jokey our butler made everything run smoothly enabling us to concentrate on enjoying our holiday rather than trying to organise everything.Literally every staff member we came across made us feel very welcome & couldn`t do enough to make our stay special. I have a severe food allergy & have never been to a resort when every restaurant we visited knew immediately as soon (or even before) we gave our room number. The staff went out of their way to make me feel safe (altering ingredients or using different pans to cook things in or explaining every ingredient at the buffet). This was exceptional. Our favourite restaurant was Samsura. It was only a shame this was not included in our platinum package. We found the portion sizes too large in all the restaurants so ended up missing lunch entirely just to cope.
In all, we spent 7 nights there & it wasn`t enough ! We will return. Thank you.

A dreamy vacation with wonderful snorkeling
During our 10-day stay at the resort, we were treated to an overall wonderful experience. The island, boasting expansive grounds, was easily navigable thanks to the provision of comfortable bicycles or buggy service. Our spacious villas, cleaned twice daily, had good privacy. The staff was very warm, attentive and ensured our comfort. A special shoutout to Jokey, our attentive butler, and Shaibaan, who brightened our mornings and evenings with his friendly presence at breakfast and dinner.
The snorkeling experience was amazing, with the house reef teeming with vibrant marine life, including fish, rays, and even sharks. We felt reassured knowing that a lifeguard was on hand to oversee our exploration of the reef. Additionally, opting for the all-inclusive package proved to be a wise choice, granting us access to two incredible excursions: a nice sunset with dolphins and a guided snorkeling adventure through the house reef.
While our time at the resort left us feeling content and rejuvenated, we do have a couple of minor suggestions for improvement. Perhaps enhancing the lighting along the alleys at night would further elevate the ambiance, and expanding the variety of culinary options would add an extra layer of culinary delight to an already good experience.

This resort is a paradise! My wife and I spent 8 nights at Hideaway over NYE festive period. We truly enjoyed our beautiful water villa and the house reef was fantastic for snorkelling. We agree to all the great comments… BUT there is also the Diving team, the yoga teacher and the wonderful singer Rosie. Don’t forget to mention them. The diving is fantastic and the team around Willie in the water and on the boat is very professional and the fun to be with. The yoga teacher has a difficult task with teaching different levels at the same time, she is mastering that easily and last but not least to mention Rosie, the singer with a most beautiful voice and an incredible range. She seems to be capable of singing everything. She makes songs sound great that we normaly don’t like. Living the dream
Amazing place…. It’s like living in a fantasy world / postcard for a week. Nice and big rooms/villas, so friendly staff and so many different options with activities you could do during the days.
We stayed for a week but 3-4 more days had been perfect:-)
If something could be better I have to say the food. (Lunch & Dinner). You had to spice up everything you eat because it didn’t taste anything (except the Indian food). For that amazing resort it should be a better food experience. But except that it’s a 5 star resort that I definitely recommend you to visit..

This place is sensational and by far the most beautiful I have ever seen! The nature is sensational, with clear and warm waters, diverse corals and very colorful fauna. One stay is not enough
Our stay at this resort was absolutely exceptional. The accommodation is spacious, clean, tastefully furnished. The food is varied, with a variety of tastes, so everyone has to choose there (for dinner, different world cuisines alternated – Mediterranean, Caribbean, Middle East, Asian, and the chef’s evening was an exceptional experience). The service was fast, nice, very friendly and respectful. It is very difficult to remember to write all the names, but Chamila and Shahid can be mentioned for all of them. Perfect service was provided by the butler Jokey, who was ready to fulfill every request. His kind and friendly behavior made our stay even more enjoyable.
All the services we managed to use were provided at an absolutely professional level. We really appreciate the privacy that this resort provides, as the individual villas are far enough apart and separated by lush vegetation. You don’t have to travel for snorkeling and diving because there is a rich coral reef around the island. We hope that in a short time we will be able to return and continue enjoying the endless experiences that this resort offers. It really cannot be done in one stay.

My Vo –
We stayed at Hideaway for our honeymoon in November 2023. It’s hard to pick a resort in the Maldives as there is overwhelmingly a lot of choice. We had originally booked with another resort but we decided to change it and go with Hideaway – best decision! As part of our package we were meant to get to the island via domestic airline and speedboat, but when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that we had gotten upgraded to a seaplane transfer!
The seaplane itself was an experience – it was 75 minutes of beautiful views flying over the other islands.
We had booked one of the overwater villas (room 305) with the all inclusive package. What sold us on this resort over the other resorts was the size of the room! It was 290sqm – a rarity in the Maldives! Even though there was a lot of villas we really felt that as were on our own island, we didn’t really see much people except for meal times, and even it never felt too crowded!
Our room was clean at all times and sometimes was even serviced twice in a day (we declined the second service as we were out all day). The room boys were impeccable in their service, everything was restocked daily, they would always leave the villa smelling beautifully and tidied and if they serviced it in the afternoon, they would do a turn down service (which was very much appreciated after a long day!).
Our butler Thoriq was amazing, he was able to answer all of our questions, made us an itinerary for each day and would greet us everyday at a meal with a big smile! Other notable mentions are servers Ali from Matheefaru and Vikrant from Meeru Bar & Grill. They both served us more than once and were attentive, efficient and professional at all times. We also want to mention our excursion guides and massage therapists who we didn’t catch the name of, but absolute gems! The excursion guides for our guides house reef snorkelling and dolphin cruise made us feel safe. And the massage therapist ladies – one of the best massages I’ve had (and I’ve had a lot!).
The house reef snorkelling was insane – just close to the pristine clear waters of the shore, the depth would increase to 5-6 metres and then you see all these beautiful coral and sea life – they would just swim around you and not be scared away! It was extremely easy to snorkel and any swimming ability can be comfortable to do it. The sea life in the house reef was beautiful – sharks, manta rays and lots and lots of fish!
It was a honeymoon dream come true and Hideaway exceeded our expectations! It was very upsetting to leave but we will always cherish the amazing time we had at Hideaway!

Truly a memorable honeymoon for us! The overwater bungalow we stayed at was beautiful and incredibly spacious. We took advantage of the all-inclusive that they offered so we had appetizer, entree and dessert for every meal. We tried our best to try different foods each time from each of the restaurants in the resort and we honestly did not eat anything that we did not like. There’s options in the buffet that we honestly did not get to try since it did not appeal to us but others seemed to have enjoyed them. We also decided to enjoy a private lobster dinner which was amazing! The resort has lots of activities that they offer. We enjoyed the dolphin sunset cruise as well as kayaking! Above all, the people were just great here! They were all incredibly friendly and wonderful. We’d also like to give a shout-out to our personal butler Thoriq who managed our day to day activities, even scheduling things before we got there! Truly a memorable experience for us. Definitely recommend this resort and wish we could have stayed here forever!

This was the vacation of a lifetime. Hideaway is the perfect island paradise, everything you can imagine. From the moment we stepped off the boat, it felt like we were in a different world. The staff were all amazing, courteous, and responsive. I would describe my experience with the staff as “above Ritz Carlton” level. My main goal on the island was scuba diving. I did 11 dives over the course of 5 days. The dive boats are great, the dive staff is fantastic. I just could not have asked for anything more. My room was out of this world. Blew away all my expectations.

First my wife and I would like to thank the wounderful team at Hideaway, Christophe, Amir, Prem, Shahid, the team at the Spa and last but not lest our butler Naseer. Naseer did a great job taking care of us throughout our stay, always on call and continously staying in touch via WhatsApp. During our last dinner Shahid prepared a special table for us full of flowers. The whole team made our stay as memorable and enjoyable as possible we thank all of them for going the extra mile for us.
The real good things about Hideaway are:
1. The food is outstanding. If you want to watch your weight this is the wrong place to go. The breakfast has a balanced mixture suitable for those visiting from the west, middle east, far east and everywhere in between. The dinner buffet has a theme that changes every night so you don’t get bored. But no matter the theme the chefs outdo themselves every night.
2. The villas are comfortably designed and spacious. We stayed in an Ocean Villa with pool but next time we are going to book one of the signature beach villas. They are beutifully designed and very luxurious.
3. The activities are very well organized and suitable for all ages. While here we tried the turtle discovery snorkeling tour, the dolphin cruise, the golf course and visit the Spa several times. They were all fun, we saw turtles, sharks eagle rays and dolphins in the wild. The dolphin cruise is a must.
The beaches are beatiful and well taken care of and snorkeling around the island is an experience in itself.
The only negative thing is that the water around the Ocean Villas is murky because of the sand which is not a good place for swimming and snorkeling so you have to go to the beach by the bar, which is the best place to snorkel on the island. But we were shown a few other catagory villas for our next visit and they were all surrounded by crystal clear water; only the Ocean Villas are in the murky water area.
All in all my wife and I had a fabulous time; we relaxed played swam and had a lot of great food.

We spent 5 nights at Hideaway Beach Resort and Spa. Highly recommend and it was an enjoyable stay. We stayed in an Deluxe Water Villa which was over the lagoon and also had the white platinum plan. I would highly recommend the white platinum plan as I feel it is better value for money, plus having the lounge access for a 2hr layover prior was fantastic.
We arrived via seaplane which was very smooth-I am a nervous flyer but was fine, though it is very noisy. It takes about 1hr 15mins. Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff and taken to our villa. The island is a large one and you can ride around or get a buggy to where you need to go. Our ocean villa was extremely spacious and everything was modern & comfortable. The view over the lagoon was lovely. With regards to privacy, while in your pool/deck it was private assuming no one was swimming in the lagoon however, if you ventured into the lagoon/ocean, you could then see onto everyone’s decks. This is to be expected given the layout. The lagoon side had very strong currents and while we did swim, it was a bit rough. We suspect the beach villas would have calmer waters.
The restaurants have a great selection and we were here in low seasons so sometimes some were closed but that didn’t bother us. Having the platinum package meant we could order majority of options from the 3 restaurants, plus beverages. The activities we did were a sunset sitting on a Hamacland-this is nice but the day we did it the sun was very hot/glaring so was a little uncomfortable until it went behind the clouds. We did the guided house snorkeling which was ok. Then we did the night snorkeling which is highly recommended and a must do. I would do the discovery snorkeling instead of the guided house snorkeling as the reef on the other side of the channel is better.
We were able to snorkel on our own around the house reef, though currents are strong, however for those who are not strong swimmers there are life jackets to wear. We also ordered a private floating breakfast to have in our villa pool which was enjoyable. The service from the staff is fantastic. Sometimes the buggy took a while to come but often we would just ride to places (needed the exercise after eating so much!)
The 2 minor issues (& they are extremely minor) is that when you arrive at a restaurant, they are anxious to seat you, take your order immediately and you don’t have any time to just browse the menu. Then at the end of the meal, I found it difficult to signal someone to get the cheque and often would wait 5-10mins to get someone’s attention. The other minor issue is the size of the meals-entree’s are the size of main meals which is just ridiculous. E.g. I ordered a salad for entree and it was huge. I would recommend they reduce the entree size so people can order 3 course meal. ‘
Overall, we had a lovely time. This was our second time to the Maldives but first time to this Island. I would highly recommend visiting and we were definitely happy with our experience.

This is definitely a 10/10, it might be one of the best places on planet earth. Extremely friendly staff who provide an amazing service. The manager Christophe would always come say hello and was incredibly helpful. The food is top tier- the most amazing fresh breakfast. Water villa is unreal with a private infinity pool and access to the sea. Very spacious and comfortable- you could easily spend the whole time in your private villa. Restaurants were good, gym is perfect for a hotel gym. The island is one of the biggest in the Maldives and the private butler makes this stand out compared to other resorts. Muson is amazing, if you manage to get him as a butler he’s incredibly fast, efficient and helpful. He makes your whole trip a breeze. Everything from arrival to departure here is outstanding. Highly recommend staying here, it’s paradise.

My wife and I didn’t expect the connecting domestic flight to be 3 hours long. Despite the initial let down, once we had arrived at the Resort. We were greeted at the entrance by our Butler, Zareer and he brought us on a quick tour around the island. The resort is so well up kept and clean, making it a very comfortable stay. Not to mention, Zareer had made the necessary dinner reservations for us as requested and even arranging a Birthday Cake for my wife on her birthday! A special touch for a special trip. This trip will remain in our core memory for sure. We really enjoyed the guided reef snorkelling with Cathy.

We have been to Hideway in December for our Honeymoon and it was an incredible experience. The landscape and island are so beautiful with white sandy beaches and crystal blue water. You have so much privacy on the island and a lot of alone time at the beach. The diving school was so well equipped and the team was great. There are many beautiful and different diving spots near the island to explore.
The restaurants have such a quality and quantity of fresh and delicious food and the service was perfect and so kind. Dino and Tina made our holiday special but the whole staff at the hotel are so lovely people. We will definitely come back at some time!

We went with our family of 5. Kids 7-12 years old. This is such a little secret hideaway and a gem! We had a divine time here and can’t wait to go back.
The staff is amazing and the place is just so special is every way. We didn’t want to go home. The food was amazing ! Loads of activities for adults and kids. The bungalows over the water are so pretty and even though we went during monsoon season it was still so comfortable and warm or hot enough to swim!
The personal butlers for each hut was so helpful as well the concierge. The staff are very multicultural and can speak many languages.
Highly recommend this place !
