Hill Rise Stables exudes historic charm and a calm, relaxing air. The décor pays homage to grand Sri Lankan heritage while also offering a sublime level of modern comfort. The equestrian theme is ever present yet never in your face: there are horse themed pillows and statuettes, yes, but they are perfectly matched by beautiful vintage furniture and amazing views. The multiple fireplaces are a revelation, lending the villa an impossibly warm and welcoming air.

Living Room

The living room invites everyone to gather in for friendly chats and lazy naps. Framed by ample windows looking out to the greenery, the room is furnished with plush sofas and armchairs in soft shades of mocha and green. Horse themed cushions and mementos pay playful homage to the villa’s equestrian theme. The room features a flatscreen TV for entertainment and a warm fireplace that will draw everyone in on cooler nights.

Dining Room

The dining room has a real sense of grandeur to it. Centred around a long dining table which seats 10, the room offers a very atmospheric setting for fabulous feasts prepared by the villa staff. Another great option is to enjoy your meals outside in the garden with views stretching over tranquil Lake Gregory.

Garden

Hill Rise Stables sits on a gorgeous, two-acre plot which gazes over the lake. The villa is framed by ample lawns where you can sit back, relax, and simply drink in that gorgeous scenery. The setting is ideal for lazy breakfasts or a spot of afternoon tea, watching as the kids frolic around the lawns.

Hill Rise Stables features four bedrooms. Each room is uniquely styled with bespoke colours and textiles, but they all share the same overarching theme: historic opulence with a touch of modern-day luxury. All rooms come with four-poster beds and spacious ensuite bathrooms.

Hill Rise Stables is a four-bedroom villa that’s built over a single floor. The villa features enclosed living and dining areas and four ensuite bedrooms. The villa is surrounded by ample lawns and beautiful views over Lake Gregory. The villa has an equestrian theme, and guests can also visit the Owners Stables at nearby Nuwara Eliya Race Course.

Villa Manager

Hill Rise Stables’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Housekeeping

You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.

Butlers

Butlers are on hand daily to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout your stay.

Chef

The villa’s skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements.

Security

It’s nice to know you have security and many villas will have full-time guards or night time security available. Additional security can also be arranged if the villa doesn’t include any in the daily rate.
