There are massive sofas to lounge on and an inviting dining room to gather in, all the while frosty flakes fall outside the full wall windows. The décor is elegant yet inviting, perfectly fusing effortless Japanese charm with plush modern comfort. Built in a tranquil corner of Niseko, Iori Niseko provides front row seats to Hokkaido’s unspoilt natural wonders while also offering easy access to the region’s best ski slopes – Hirafu, Niseko Village and Annupuri are all within a 10-minute drive.

Iori Niseko is an ambitious collaboration between the 22eme creative studio and Makoto Nakayama, one of Japan’s most celebrated architects. That the end result is nothing short of stunning should come as little surprise. From its minimalist façade to its calm interiors, the chalet exudes Japanese style and elegance. The light and airy rooms feature beautiful bespoke furniture and some of the best views in Niseko – it’s not every day you get to enjoy your breakfast while gazing out at mighty Mount Yotei.

Living Room

The living room is well sized and framed by full wall glass that make the room feel all the more spacious. The lounge area is dominated by a grey sectional sofa that offers the best seats in the house – the sofa is ingeniously positioned to face the windows so guests can relax with a warm drink in hand, watching as the snow falls outside. If you can tear your eyes away from this natural spectacle, there is also a huge flatscreen TV to keep you and your companions enthralled.

Dining Room

Flanking the living room sofa is the chalet’s light timber dining table which can seat up to eight guests with ease. Here too guests are treated to stunning views through the full wall windows. There is also a second, more intimate dining area where guests can gather around a round black table – the setting is ideal for sipping some green tea or perhaps sampling some sake. The main dining area is adjoined by an open plan kitchen that centres around an island counter surrounded by five chairs – the perfect setup for a quick breakfast before heading to the slopes. The kitchen is sleek and modern and features all the necessary cutlery, kitchenware and appliances.

Iori Niseko features four bedrooms. The décor echoes the calm elegance of the chalet with light neutral tones and uncluttered spaces creating the ideal conditions for restorative sleep. There is plenty of flexibility here to accommodate different groups. Three rooms feature king-sized beds though two of these can be converted into two singles if needed. For even more flexibility, one bedroom features bunk beds which make it ideal for kids or teenagers.

Iori Niseko is a standalone chalet that features an open plan living and dining room. The chalet has four bedrooms. Two rooms are ensuite and two rooms share a bathroom between them.

Your stay is made enjoyable by the professional staff who have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly hospitality.

Property Manager

The chalet’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the chalet. The property manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Housekeeping

Our chalets in Japan often have housekeeping 1 – 2 times per week depending on the property. Each chalet will have their own cleaning schedule.

Iori Niseko is located on the outer edge of Hirafu Village in Niseko, Japan. This is a serene, forest bound setting away from the noise yet within easy reach of Niseko’s best ski slopes, pubs and restaurants. You can reach Hirafu’s ACE family quad lift in just a five-minute drive and the same goes for all the delicious restaurants and fun apres-ski pubs waiting in lively Hirafu Village. If you feel like exploring further afield, the Niseko Village and Annupuri ski resorts are within a 10-15 minute drive. Both are also accessible with the Niseko All Mountain Pass – score!
