Kazahana Hanazono Overview

Kazahana Hanazono is fully loaded for an epic stay in Niseko, the powder capital of Asia. Cutting a striking figure amid Hanazono’s tranquil forests, this palatial chalet wows with its design and delights with its plush amenities. The most jaw-dropping and envy inducing features are the chalet’s indoor/outdoor onsen baths which gaze out to Mount Yotei. That said, we also love the cosy media room and the spiral staircase which takes you down to the chalet’s wine cellar. The living areas are beautifully designed and highly functional – and the same goes for the bedrooms. Besides three king bedrooms, the chalet has two bunk rooms which can sleep four guests each. This means the chalet can sleep up to 14 guests, or 16 with extra beds. With the Hanazono ski lifts less than five minutes away, Kazahana Hanazono is the ultimate place for hosting your powder loving entourage in style.

Kazahana Hanazono Living

Kazahana Hanazono oozes grace, elegance and architectural finesse. Designed by Riccardo Tossani – the mastermind behind many a Niseko landmark – the chalet’s artfully angled roof and striking picture windows are at once arresting and in perfect harmony with the serene landscape that surrounds. Behind its striking façade, the chalet is packed with thoughtful details and sumptuous extras. Though the ski room and wine cellar are sublime, and the bunk rooms deserve top marks, the most winning element are the indoor/outdoor onsens. A soak in these healing waters is a heavenly way to wrap up a day spent out in the snow.

Living Room

The living room is a light and fluid space positioned on the chalet’s upper floor. From this elevated vantage point, the open-plan room (which is largely encased in full wall glass) offers soothing panoramas of the surrounding forest and majestic Mount Yotei looming in the distance. The lounge area features an elegant arrangement of beige sofas angled toward a huge flatscreen TV – though with views like these, who even needs a TV?

Dining Room

The dining area is also incorporated to the luminous upstairs living room where the artfully slanted ceiling and angled windows lend the space a gallery like feel. The minimalist dining table, which is rendered in dark timber, is surrounded by 10 dove grey chairs. More seats are available at the kitchen island which separates the dining area from the chalet’s fully equipped kitchen. Unique light fixtures and surrealist art add a whimsical touch to the space. When weather permits, you can also enjoy your meals (or apres-ski drinks) out on the balcony which looks out to mighty Mount Yotei.

Media Room

Who’s up for a movie night? The chalet’s media room is located downstairs and echoes the property’s cool and calm décor. The room features a cream hued sofa, armchairs and beanbags, with a large TV to keep everyone entertained. This cosy room connects to one of the bunk rooms (which in turn connects to the second bunk room) – it’s the perfect setup for an all-out slumber party!
