Leela Walauwwa is a grand 19^th century manor once occupied by a native headman which has found a new lease on life as a meticulously restored luxury holiday villa. The property has maintained its architectural integrity and you can spot traces of the villa’s centuries old history throughout the property. The estate’s vintage charm is elevated to exacting modern standards thanks to gorgeous interiors adorned with designer furniture and finely curated art and antiques.

Leela Walauwwa boasts an 18-metre swimming pool and four beautiful bedroom suites. The villa is surrounded by leafy trees and tranquillity, with complimentary transfers offered to nearby Bentota Beach.

Living Room

The living room is a beautiful light filled space connecting seamlessly to the poolside terrace. Two dove grey sofas sit surrounding a glass-topped coffee table, with beautifully chosen art and design pieces adding interest to the room. Closer to the villa’s entrance, you’ll find a cosy TV room that’s perfect for snuggling up with the family.

Dining Room

The dining area is a fluid extension of the open-plan living room, with a long wooden dining table comfortably seating up to 10 guests. The space is kept cool by ceiling fans, with bi-fold glass doors revealing marvellous views of the pool. Close by, the villa’s kitchen is fitted with an espresso machine to cater to coffee lovers.

Garden

The villa is surrounded by leafy green gardens and towering palm trees, with a sumptuous 18-metre pool taking pride of place. The sun kissed deck surrounding the pools offers a prime spot for relaxing on one of the white loungers provided. The grounds also include a beautiful shaded pavilion that’s ideal for quiet contemplation with two daybeds surrounded by lush greenery.

Leela Walauwwa has four bedrooms, all furnished with a king-sized bed and adjoined by an ensuite bathroom. All rooms feature flatscreen TVs. One bedroom also includes a daybed which can sleep one extra guest. There are three bedrooms on the ground level surrounding the living areas. The fourth bedroom is located upstairs.

You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.

Butlers are on hand every day to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout your stay.

Chef

The villa’s skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements.
