Wonderful paradise

AS GOOD AS EVER
Another superb vacation at ‘Lily Beach Resort’. We were there for the Easter festivities and thankyou to all of the staff for making our stay so memorable. They do a wonderful job looking after the guests and to ensure that everyone is having a good time. There are far too many to name individually but they are all excellent in their respective roles.
Anyone thinking of visiting the Maldives will not go far wrong in choosing this resort and their ‘Platinum Plan’ is truly exceptional. The choice of food available is remarkable and all drinks are well known quality brands. The island has wonderful beaches with the reefs easy to access for snorkelling, several restaurants and bars. There are two pools, one for the children and the other an ‘infinity’ which is designated ‘the quiet zone’ and adults only. Bliss.
This year ‘Lily’ is celebrating its 30th. anniversary and the many guests that frequently return is proof of its popularity and quality. Laurent ‘the manager’ is very affable and makes time available to talk to the guests. He is excellent and a credit to the resort.

We visited Lily Beach Resort to celebrate our wedding anniversary and have made memories to last a lifetime. In full transparency, the beginning of our stay got off to a rocky start due to some issues with check in and our overwater bungalow. However, we are pleased to share that management was attentive in addressing the issues. We especially want to thank Laurent, the manager of the resort, for getting involved and going above and beyond to ensure our stay was both positive and memorable. It has truly been a dream trip!
Stay highlights:
– The food and beverage selections are wonderful; by far the best we have had at an all inclusive resort and far exceeded my expectations as a picky eater.
– Wait staff are attentive and extremely welcoming at the bar and restaurants.
– The island itself is incredible. We saw countless fish, sharks, and rays when snorkeling around the island’s reef. World class snorkeling/ fish watching right off your deck.
– The spa was a nice and relaxing experience. There are not many places in the world where you can watch sea-life swimming beneath you while you get a massage.
– Lily offers great excursions. We had fun sunset fishing (they cook your fish for you after) and swimming with manta rays. The water sports team is hard working and extremely pleasant.
Areas for improvement:
– Some of the bungalows have been refreshed, others have not. We were told they’ll all be done in spring 2024

Amazing place. Service and package was amazing and suited our needs perfectly. Some aspects of the rooms could have done with a bit more maintenance, but nothing that detracted from the beauty of this place. I would go back next week in a heartbeat.

We spent 7 days in the hotel, we are family of 6, lived in water-pool villas. What i want to say: The villas are outdated and have not been updated for a long time. You can step on nails that stick out from the floor. We spent in the hotel 1 week and never changed our sheets. The clean was very poor. Never cleaned the floor. Bed in the hotel is not comfortable. But there is a good thing in this hotel. This is food. That’s all.

Almost perfect experience! Workers are extremely friendly, place is breathtaking and food is superb! Just wished we had a better experience checking out. We asked three times to do a late check out since our boat was not leaving until 3pm but it was denied (could understand why) however we had to wait for 3 hours in the area and there was no ac! My husband and I were sweating and the wait seems to be dragging. Hopefully there could be a wait area with ac since summers are pretty hot and humid. We still loved our stay this is definitely just something minor that could hopefully be improved.
