Meikeikyo Hanazono Overview

Entering Meikeikyo Hanazono feels like unearthing a hidden treasure. The chalet’s entrance epitomises Japanese minimalism and reveals little of the wonders waiting inside. Hidden within is a world of slope side luxury and inspiring modern design all framed by majestic views of Hokkaido’s unspoilt landscape. The chalet is lavishly spacious and dominated by a stunning design element: a Japanese courtyard encased in glass which sits literally at the heart of the property. The split level design, double height ceilings and full wall windows only add to the awe-inspiring sense of space. Though the chalet exudes glamour, it is also muted and understated, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxed mingling and indulgent entertaining after a busy day spent out on the slopes. After a gourmet feast served at the scenic dining table, you can enjoy a movie night in the swanky media room or head for a soak in the luxe Japanese bath.

Meikeikyo Hanazono Living

The chalet’s entrance is understated and unassuming, giving little hint of the grandeur and glamour waiting inside. Within its austere exterior, the chalet cascades across multiple levels. From floating staircases to full wall windows and that stunning glass encased courtyard, every aspect of the property feels like a work of art. While the façade is dominated by forbidding timber, another wall is mostly taken up by full wall glass, allowing Hokkaido’s stunning scenery to take centre stage. This truly is modern minimalism at its finest.

Living Room

The living and dining areas take up one floor of this multi-level chalet, circumventing the Japanese courtyard which dazzles at the heart of the property. The lounge area is lavishly spacious and features enough sofas and armchairs to seat a full entourage. The standout feature is the white sectional sofa that’s beautifully paired with deep earth tones and warm textures – think faux fur throws, velvety armchairs and plush shag carpets. This is the ultimate place to sit back and watch the snow fall while you sip some hot chocolate – or maybe you’d prefer a glass of red wine instead?

Dining Room

The chalet’s dining table wows with its sheer size alone. This is a striking timber number that’s long enough to seat 14 guests for relaxed meals and lavish feasts. The dining area is incorporated to the open plan living room that feels like a gallery space celebrating the finest achievements in modern minimalist design. The dining table is framed by full wall windows on one side and the statement courtyard on the other. The dining area extends to the chalet’s designer kitchen where the sleek contours feel like a design feature in their own right.

Media Room

The media room feels like your own private cinema in Niseko! The room is decked out with a projector screen, beanbags and luxe armchairs – the perfect setup for bingeing on all your favourite shows and the latest movies.
