“Great location in the heart of Ubud, but be sure to get a private villa!”
We stayed at Pertiwi during Nyepi (Hindu new year in Bali) and the lock down was totally relaxing and fine. The location was super close to the action on Nyepi eve with the agoh agoh ceremony held just up the road at the soccer field. It was fantastic to be able to experience such a unique Balinese cultural experience and then to be able to walk five minutes and escape the crowds and noise with our child. The breakfasts were memorable, several courses laid on it was honestly hard not to over indulge! The private pool villas were really lovely, though located on the other side of a steep valley. There is a golf buggy available to get you to and from your room still, people with mobility issues should be aware. We took our breakfast at the rear of the resort which overlooked rural Bali and was really serene. The staff there were really excellent and took great care of us. The front of the resort was in direct locality to some of our favorite shops and restaurants like Café Havana. It was a lovely time in Ubud and I would stay at Pertiwi again!

“We will not stay anywhere else”
My friend and I have been to Bali,and specifically to Ubud, many times. We ALWAYS stay at the Pertiwi. Because we are ladies in our 60’s and traveling alone, we appreciate the security and personal relationships we have with the staff there. They treat us like family, know our names, our preferences for meals, shopping, sightseeing, etc. On our last visit, we were able to stay much longer than usual–almost 3 weeks! We never tired of the wonderful greetings, friendly smiles, and impeccable service. EVERYONE of the Pertiwi staff is well trained, from the General Manager to reception, front office, landscaping, housekeeping, food servers, maintenance, etc. Our air conditioner was not working properly one evening and they fixed it–in the dark out on the tile roof! In short, we would never consider staying anywhere else!
