This minimalist chalet is beautiful to behold both inside and out and the location is hard to beat as well: the main dining strip is just a stroll away and the ski lifts can be reached in five minutes. Topped with a stunning vaulted ceiling, the chalet boasts elegant living and dining areas perfect for cosy nights spent in, watching as the snow falls outside. The chalet offers all the comforts and conveniences you could ask for, including a huge smart TV, Bose speakers, hydronic underfloor heating and a Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine. Another special feature is the air-conditioning in the living areas – a huge boon if you’re visiting during the summer months.

Prominence is a perfect fusion of Scandinavian design and Japanese minimalism. The chalet’s high-pitched roof and full wall windows exude Scandi elegance while the calm interiors give equal nods to Nordic aesthetics and Japanese Zen. The rooms are spread over two floors with a soothing, uncluttered approach consistent throughout. The natural colour scheme relies on shades of white, grey and brown, with touches of green giving nods to the surrounding pine forest.

Living Room

The living room is a beautiful space positioned on the upper floor. The room is crowned with a high slanted ceiling and framed by stunning angled windows. When you’re not busy admiring the views, you can kick back on the chestnut brown sofa and stream your favourite shows on the 65-inch TV mounted on the wall.

Dining Room

The chalet’s dining table is located right behind the lounge area. Positioned by the full wall windows, the six-seater table offers lovely views of Hakuba’s snow-covered streets. The dining area extends to an elegant open-plan kitchen that features a marble top island and all the crockery, cutlery and appliances needed for preparing yummy après-ski meals.

Prominence features three bedrooms. The rooms are decorated in beautiful natural tones inspired by Hakuba’s forests with generous windows introducing the great outdoors as part of the décor. The rooms are spread over two floors, and they all offer the option between a king-sized bed or two singles – whichever suits you best.

Property Manager

The chalet’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the chalet. The property manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Housekeeping

Our chalets in Japan often have housekeeping 1 – 2 times per week depending on the property. Each chalet will have their own cleaning schedule.

Here you’ll have your pick of great little cafes and izakaya eateries – perfect for fuelling up before hitting the slopes or enjoying a tipple after an epic day of skiing. Speaking of skiing: the Happo One ski lifts are a quick five-minute drive from the chalet, while Hakuba 47 and Goryu are about 10 minutes away.
