Rampart Street was one of the first buildings in UNESCO-protected Galle Fort to be meticulously converted into a holiday villa living up to exacting modern standards. Today, the villa is one of the most elegant in the Fort and offers an idyllic home base for exploring these age old cobble stone lanes. The interiors are decorated with classic furniture and beautiful pieces of art, antiques and curios. The outdoor areas are dominated by a sparkling swimming pool framed by lush greenery. Rampart Street has four bedrooms, all furnished with dreamy four-poster beds and adjoined by ensuite bathrooms.

Rampart Street Living
Rampart Street is an elegant heritage villa capturing the feel of a time gone by without sacrificing an inch of modern comfort. The rooms are decorated with classic furniture and natural tones, with the blue pool and lush gardens adding some tropical glamour.
The living room is an elegant indoor area furnished with smart white sofas and ornate oriental carpets, with beautifully chosen furniture and art giving nods to the building’s historical heritage.
The dining area is a breezy alfresco space located beneath a shaded veranda looking over the garden and out to the pool. The wooden dining table sits beneath ceiling fans and can comfortably seat all eight guests staying in the villa.
Besides the beautiful interiors, the villa offers irresistible outdoor areas focused around a seven-metre swimming pool which includes a shallow ledge. A row of sun loungers sits beside the pool, surrounded by lush green trees and neat lawns.

Rampart Street has four bedrooms, each furnished with a king-sized bed and adjoined by an ensuite bathroom. The bedrooms share the same classic décor dominated by calm natural hues and timeless furniture.
The first bedroom is one of two bedrooms located by the pool, measuring around 20m2 in size. This room has a king-sized four poster bed, safety deposit box and an ensuite bathroom with a shower.

The second bedroom is also located by the pool and is very similar to bedroom one. This room is also around 20m2 in size and features a king-sized four poster bed, safety deposit box and an ensuite bathroom with a shower.

Your stay in Rampart Street is made enjoyable by the professional staff. Rampart Street’s staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly hospitality.
Rampart Street’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.
You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.
The villa’s skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements.
