Come in from the cold – Sanga House is ready to welcome you! While many chalet’s in Niseko gravitate towards austere minimalism, Sanga House leans in to its mountainside setting. Rather than sleek and simplistic, this chalet feels warm, cosy and welcoming. The living areas are crowned with sturdy beams and adorned with plush leather, cosy textiles and generous stretches of natural wood. Overall, it feels like a fresh modern update on the classic mountain lodge. This beautiful four-bedroom chalet is positioned in a quiet corner of Niseko yet just a short drive from the slopes and apres-ski fun waiting in Hirafu Village. On all accounts, Sanga House strikes the perfect balance. This gem of a chalet is cosy yet modern and private yet close to the action.

Sanga House exudes the warm and welcoming feel of a chalet hidden in the mountains. The living areas wow with their sheer size alone with touches of leather and timber playing up the mountainside style. The chalet’s lofty high ceiling seems to mimic the giant looming in the distance – you can spot Mount Yotei from the living room, the dining table and the balcony which boasts an outdoor fireplace. Sanga House is the perfect place to cosy up during winter – though the setting is absolutely stunning during summer as well.

Living Room

Boasting an open floor plan, the chalet’s living areas are incredibly spacious. Positioned beside massive windows, the lounge area is crowned with a double height ceiling which only adds to that enviable sense of space and light. The leather sofa and its matching armchairs give the space the cosy feel of a mountain lodge with timber pieces further adding to the rustic feel. There’s also a sleek flatscreen TV to keep you entertained on the nights you choose to stay in. When weather permits, you can also grab a seat out on the balcony where you can enjoy stunning views of Mount Yotei and relish the glow of the outdoor fireplace.

Dining Room

The dining area is incorporated to the generous living room. The impressively sized dining table is positioned only a few easy steps from the lounge area so you can keep the conversation going even when part of the group is still relaxing on the sofa. The dining table can easily seat all eight guests staying at the chalet and there are even more seats available at the nearby kitchen counter. The open plan kitchen is fitted with beautiful timber cabinets that match the décor perfectly. It also offers all the cutlery, glassware and appliances you might need.

Sanga House features four bedrooms. The bedrooms are decorated in elegant muted tones, creating a soothing ambiance that’s conducive to a good night’s sleep. The bedrooms are well sized, allowing everyone in your group to retreat to their own private cocoon after an action backed day on the slopes. The bedrooms are adjoined by an ensuite bathroom each.

Sanga House is a standalone chalet with open plan living and dining areas and a fully equipped kitchen. The chalet has a scenic balcony with an outdoor fireplace. The four bedrooms are adjoined by an ensuite bathroom each.

Property Manager

The chalet’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the chalet. The property manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Housekeeping

Our chalets in Japan often have housekeeping 1 – 2 times per week depending on the property. Each chalet will have their own cleaning schedule.

Sanga House is located on the eastern edge of Hirafu Village in Niseko, Japan. This is an exclusive and private setting where the chalet is surrounded by Hokkaido’s pristine nature and tranquillity. Yet it takes just five minutes to reach to buzzy centre of Hirafu Village! In central Hirafu, you can access the lifts, sure, but there are also great restaurants to try and a fun apres-ski scene to explore. If you don’t feel like heading over to the village, there are a handful of eateries within walking distance from the chalet, including Ruhiel for ice cream(!), L’ocanda for Italian food and Gokoro for homemade udon noodles. The nearest shuttle stop is about 500 metres from the chalet.
