The name Sena has two meanings in Japanese. First, the name refers to a bond – the threads that bind friends and families together to forge a lasting community. With its inviting communal spaces that exude warmth and tranquillity, the chalet invites guests to cherish and deepen those very bonds. Sena can also refer to stars and celestial bodies. Set on an exclusive estate away from light pollution and the crowds, the chalet offers the ultimate setting for marvelling at the starry night skies, whether gathered around the dining table or curled up in bed.

Living Room

Ingeniously positioned on the chalet’s upper floor, Sena’s living room is nothing short of stunning. This incredible space is framed by floor to ceiling windows and crowned with a 3-metre-high ceiling, creating an abundance of space and natural light. This is the perfect space to press pause on your hectic day to day and simply take in the stunning scenery that surrounds. Forgoing all mountain lodge clichés, the space is decorated in sleek modern style. There are ample sofas to lounge on and the space is dominated by a futuristic fireplace suspended from the sky high ceiling. Regardless of the season, you’ll be treated to magnificent panoramas throughout the day – that’s Mount Yotei peeking above your private woodlands.

Dining Room

The dining area is incorporated into the open plan living room. It’s a no brainer, really – why not make the most of this gorgeous space and those enchanting views? The dining table is a sturdy number crafted from solid camphor wood and surrounded by eight matching chairs. A sleek modern kitchen is also fused to the same space, offering all the essentials and little extras needed for an indulgent stay, including a coffee machine and a rice cooker. When weather permits, you can also enjoy your meals outside on the scenic terrace where you will find another eight-seater dining table.

Media Room

The downstairs media room offers the perfect sanctuary after a rigorous day spent out on the slopes. Styled in calm grey colours and framed by huge windows looking out to the snow, the room is furnished with a plush sectional sofa and a massive flatscreen TV.

Sena features three bedrooms. The bedrooms are light and modern and feature extensive windows – great for letting in natural light as well as marvelling at the snow covered scenery. There are two rooms with king beds, though one of these can be converted into two singles if needed. The third room is a bunk room which can sleep up to four guests in two sets of full sized bunks.

Sena is a three-bedroom chalet that’s built over two floors. The ground floor houses the garage, two bedrooms and the media room. The living and dining areas are located upstairs, along with the third bedroom.

Your stay is made enjoyable by the professional staff who have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly hospitality.

Property Manager

The chalet’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the chalet. The property manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Housekeeping

Our chalets in Japan often have housekeeping 1 – 2 times per week depending on the property. Each chalet will have their own cleaning schedule.

Sena is located in Tomikawa on the peaceful periphery of Niseko ski resort. This is a stunning, nature bound setting where the chalet gazes over Shiribetsu River – the perfect place to get away from it all and recharge your batteries. Renting a car is essential and opens up a whole world of opportunity. There are three great ski resorts within a 10-15 minute drive from Sena, namely Niseko Village, Hirafu and Moiwa. Niseko Village and Hirafu offer great skiing and plenty of restaurants and are both accessible with the Niseko United All Mountain Pass. Moiwa is more low key and requires a separate lift pass as it’s not a part of Niseko United – a great opportunity to venture beyond the beaten path and avoid the crowds!
