Looking out to the lake, there are no neighbouring properties to distracts from the views – though if you crave some excitement, it’s only a 10-minute drive to the beautiful coastline.

South Point Cottage spans two floors and features three bedrooms, including a family room which can sleep four guests. The private pool flanking the villa is just the cherry on top.

South Point Cottage is the quintessential lakeside retreat, offering a blissfully peaceful setting right on the water’s edge and away from the sight and sounds of the city. The villa exudes classic Sri Lankan charm with its classic décor and timeless furnishings.

Living Room

The villa’s open-plan veranda works as a relaxed alfresco living room and offers serene views of the pool and the lake glimmering beyond. The veranda is furnished with classic plantation chairs, perfect for relaxing with a cup of fine Ceylon tea while swapping stories from days spent exploring the island. The upper floor master bedroom includes a lounge area with a generous white sofa facing a satellite TV.

Dining Room

The dining area is also incorporated to the veranda, with a wooden dining table easily seating the whole group for relaxed alfresco meals with views looking out to the pool and lake.

Garden & Pool

The villa’s intimate gardens are framed by serene views of Koggala Lake, with a private jetty working as a launching off point for boat rides on the lake – it also makes for a very romantic setting for a candlelight dinner. The villa is also graced by an azure swimming pool, with lounge furniture scattered on the lawn and the upper floor balcony.

South Point Cottage has three bedrooms. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor. One comes with a king-sized bed and the other one features two single beds and a bunk bed, making it ideal for families. The master bedroom is located upstairs and comes with a king-sized bed.

Villa Manager

South Point Cottage’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Housekeeping

You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.

Butlers

Butlers are on hand every day to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout the day.

Chef

The villa’s skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements.

Security

It’s nice to know you have security and many villas will have full-time guards or night time security available. Additional security can also be arranged if the villa doesn’t include any in the daily rate.
