The Canopy Living
The Canopy is all about tropical beauty. The villa began its life many years ago but was left forgotten amid a former tea and cinnamon estate. Since then, the structure has been transformed into a picture-perfect boutique villa, and the surrounding land has been allowed to rewild and flourish. It is now the most blissful forest home: a place to escape the hectic pace of the modern world and follow the gentle pace of nature.
Living Room
Life at the villa flows effortlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces. You can either relax on the rattan seats positioned outside on the veranda or head to the TV room housed inside. The indoor lounge features a plush sofa, beautiful round coffee table, and a sage green cabinet framing a large HD Apple TV.
Dining Room
In true tropical fashion, you can enjoy your meals outside on the veranda where a timber dining table can accommodate a group of six. This shaded spot is a wonderful place to enjoy great meals surrounded by amazing green vistas. Inside, you will discover a well-sized kitchen fitted with all the necessary appliances and kitchenware.
Garden & Pool
The Canopy sits amid six acres of lush jungle, offering guests an amazing at-one-with-nature experience. There is a fabulous blue pool for guests to luxuriate in, with shaded verandas offering a blissful spot for drinking in the scenery. You can also enjoy leisurely walks through the forest, spotting exotic birds and discovering scenic lookout points along the way.
The Canopy Bedrooms
The Canopy features three bedrooms. The décor channels the lush beauty of the tropics, with murals and textiles depicting beautiful jungle scenes. The villa has two double bedrooms and one room with a single bed. Altogether, the villa can accommodate up to five adults and two children.

The first bedroom opens to a scenic terrace looking over the surrounding greenery. The bedroom itself boasts a four-poster bed, vanity desk, wardrobes, and a beautiful ensuite bathroom.

The Canopy Layout
The Canopy is a three-bedroom villa that’s built over a single floor. The villa features indoor/outdoor living areas, enclosed TV room, and a kitchen. The villa is surrounded by six acres of jungle landscape, and the grounds feature a private infinity pool.
The Canopy Staff
Your stay in The Canopy is made enjoyable by the professional staff. The Canopy’s staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly Sri Lankan hospitality.
Villa Manager
The Canopy’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.
Housekeeping
You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.
Butlers
Butlers are on hand everyday to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout your stay.
Chef
The villa’s skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements.
Security
It’s nice to know you have security and many villas will have full-time guards or night time security available. Additional security can also be arranged if the villa doesn’t include any in the daily rate.
Location
The Canopy is located in Thorapitya Kanda in the Galle region in south Sri Lanka. The villa offers a magical setting completely immersed in nature. The six-acre property is alive with bird song and the sound of the wind, with nothing to take away from the beauty and peace of nature. When you feel like venturing out, beautiful Habaraduwa Beach is just a 10-minute drive away while historic Galle Fort is about 25 minutes away.

- Our rates include Government tax and services. Other websites add this on at the end of the booking!

- A deposit of 50% of the total amount must be paid at the time of booking
- Final payment is required 60 days prior to arrival
- Check-in time: 2pm – check-out time: 11am
- Late check out until 6pm can be arranged at half the rental rate (subject to availability)
- Payment can be settled by credit card or PayPal (3% payment processing fee)
- Payment can be settled by bank transfer in your preferred currency (AUD / EUR / GBP / JPY / NZD / SGD / USD)
