Your stay in The Cove is made enjoyable by the professional staff. The Cove’s staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly Balinese hospitality.
Villa Manager
The Cove’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.
Housekeeping
You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.
Security
It’s nice to know you have security and many villas will have full-time guards or night time security available. Additional security can also be arranged if the villa doesn’t include any in the daily rate.

This has to be the most beautiful property I’ve ever stayed at. We visited with a group of 13 to celebrate after a wedding in Indonesia. Rossella was incredibly responsive during the booking process an helped us with arrangements for our larger group. Chef Wayan was the best! They helped us create a menu for our big celebration dinner and had no problem fixing us up a quick dinner when we arrived late.

We were in a group of 8 people for a week. The house is amazing and huge (including the pool house). Location a bit isolated if you need to go to a larger supermarket, but meh. Per the other comments the staff make this. Every day Wayan would ask what we wanted she would say her usual happy “ok” and it would just happen, including a birthday dinner. For the birthday, returning to the house the bath was full of flower petals and the bed was decorated, which was quite special, and did bring a tear to the eye of more than one of us. Pool is lovely and has shade from the trees. The ocean beach is a bit rough for kids to swim, but around the next beach is OK. The plastic on the shore is really upsetting and a wake-up to us all, but that is not the fault of The Cove. If you stay there, you will talk about it for years to come.

Belatedly getting around to writing this: my wife and I stayed at the Cove for two weeks from late December 2020 through to early January 2021 along with our two kids including a baby. We had a lovely and memorable stay. The grounds are stunning and vast – exactly what you’d hope for – and the facilities and features – from the beach and pool to the tennis ground and fish pond are more than enough to keep one happily occupied. What really stood out more, though, is the staff. Putu is a graceful and competent fixer/manager par excellence- really your go to guy. Wayang makes some wonderful dishes and actually goes and buys from local producers which creates the freshest food you could hope for (and contributes to the local economy along the way). The coastline can unfortunately see rubish pile up when we were there, but that’s sadly a feature of much of Bali’s coast and not specific to the Cove and the staff do an admirable job of trying to clear this when it happens. I wish the Cove and staff good luck as they navigate the challenges covid has brought to Bali as elsewhere. -Antoine

The Cove is a beautiful and authentic Bali vacation experience
a quiet retrat with a great view which allowed us to just let go of the stressful every-day life. We felt very welcome from the day of our first contact with the owner all the way throughout our 14-day long stay. Wayan and Putu went out of their way to read our minds and make our stay as comfortable as possible. The food was home made, really great (not too spicy) and freshly made every day. We just asked for something and Wayan got it for us immediately. The friendly driver took us all around Bali, even to the Mt. Barut volcano – it was a great experience thanks to Putu and his team for organizing everything for us. Communication was great and instant, be it by e-mail or WhatsApp. The property is well managed and the garden looks immaculous. The staff takes great care of the pool area, too, with water quality checks being conducted every day. For my 50th birtday Putu and Wayan organized an authentic Babi Guling (suckling pig) BBQ and a live balinese band playing local music. If I could, I’d spend more time at The Cove – it’s so relaxing. Thank you so much Wayan and Putu.

I’m actually never stay a night at the Cove, I made a booking of this villa for my honeymooners friend and I hang out there half day with the honeymooners from lunch to dinner time.. the Villa is just simply amazing from the front door down to its private beach! all of the villa staff is very very friendly and super helpful with everything, Wayan (the villa’s chef) makes you feel right at home and cooked the best meal! I made another booking for this August, and this time… its me staying! I cannot wait to see you guys again very soon!! x

Perfect Family Friendly Paradise
We had the most amazing time at The Cove. Since we left, we have been recommending it to our friends and hope to go back ourselves one day again. There are so many things to rave about the home and the location — it is beautiful, secluded away from everything, the amenities are fantastic, the perfect blend of comfort and nature, modern and primitive. It is basically your own private paradise. As much as we rave about the home and location, the best part about The Cove is the people. The owner Rossella is very responsive, friendly, and giving when it comes to travel advice and information. The staff at The Cove including Putu, Wayan and Mare became an extension of us as they treated us and took care of us just like family. The service and the food were beyond compare. The kids still talk about Chef Wayan’s corn fritters! We planned to make The Cove our home base and travel out to different destinations in Bali each day of our trip, but after our first day there and falling in love with it, we canceled all our other plans and just made The Cove our home for the rest of the trip. We dream of our return to The Cove one day.

A hidden gem!
Our stay at The Cove was truly a dream! We travel to Bali frequently, but this was the first time we visited Balian and is easily our new favorite spot! With its lush landscapes and virtually empty and clean beaches, Balian is a breath of fresh air amongst the usual crowded and more popular spots in Bali. Upon arriving at the gorgeous and secluded property, we were greeted by the entire, smiling staff. From our gracious host Putu to the amazing cook Wayan, we immediately felt at home! The large villa is beautifully designed with an open air feel and tons of natural light entering through each room. The private beach, pool and views were incredible not to mention we were pleasantly surprised by the impressive home theater and media room with a surplus of movies and books to entertain adults and children alike! The Cove and it’s friendly staff will always be like a second home to us and we look foreward to staying again!

Incredible Place and Lovely Staff
Where do I begin? My time spent at The Cove was truly transformative. From the moment Putu picked me up, I was enveloped by his warmth and kindness. I was sick at the time, which is why I was a little apprehensive about the travel in the first place. Although my sickness persisted during my time there, I was completely taken care of by Putu and the staff while I was there. They went above and beyond to ensure I was nourished and taken care of in every way. I truly felt a great sense of healing during my four days there, and walked away a much lighter version of myself. The energy of the space is indescribable. From the sound of the ocean crashing, to the swaying palms, and impeccably furnished rooms- it was heaven. The house itself is gorgeous and large, but still maintains a real cosy warmth to it. Also, I’m vegan and gluten free, but the cook was able to whip me up delicious dishes daily. They also kept the fruit basket fully stacked for my time there, which was great! I can’t wait to go back in October. This place is truly special beyond words.

I want to live here!
What a beautiful home. The architect (plus owner) design is stunning and works for this position so well. The property is 2 hours from the airport and 2 hours from Ubud and 2 hours from Lovina. It is located in an area that has very few restaurants and shops but that is not why you come to Tabanan. We wanted luxury with great amenities and that is what we got. The house manager is Putu and he is very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and flexible. Wayan is the chef and she is amazing. She catered for 7 of us (3 with coeliac) and every meal was entirely gluten free and the non-coeliacs went back for seconds and thirds. We enjoyed this property so much we didn’t want to leave and only went to a local restaurant once for drinks. Breakfast is provided and it is excellent.
Lunch is $10Aus p/p ($5 for kids) and Dinner is $15Aus p/p and $7.50 for kids. This is reasonable value compared to anything we saw in tourist restaurants in Bali. The fridge is stocked with Bintang at $2.50 each (the local restaurant we went to charged $3.50) We wanted Corona and some of the local Hatten Rose wine so Putu picked this up for us at the cost he found it in Tabanan. This was a great service. The driving service was great. Made is the main driver and the van is an 8 seater. He drove us to a local restaurant and waited while we had drinks by the beach (his service was complimentary). He is a very safe driver. If I had to find a negative I would say that the upstairs master bedroom is so big and the ceilings are so high that it makes it difficult to keep cool with the current air conditioning unit — this needs to be turned on early before retiring to bed.
The only other things are out of the control of management such as 1. The neighbour has started building next door. wasn’t too disruptive. the noise from power tools was kept at a minimum an the sound of the crashing waves drowned out the other noise from the builders. The didn’t start work until about 8am. 2. There are a lot of bugs and frogs around the property. The frogs are (what i would consider) loud at night if you are in the downstairs bedroom. If you are looking for a bug free sterile property, Bali probably isn’t for you. The natural surrounds of this property are part of its appeal. Mosquitos were not too bad. We find more at home. 3. The beach isn’t swimmer friendly as there are a lot of rocks and debris in the water. The water is warm but we spent minimal time in it. We stayed at the pool which is awesome. Staff pick up rubbish from the beach each morning as it washes to shore, perhaps this is less of a problem during dry season. Overall, we loved The Cove and enjoyed our stay there. Sorry Putu, we forgot to mention that the kids kicked the volleyball into the bushes on the left side of the path down to the beach…..just below the gazebo. We will send you another one as it may not be retrievable!

Awesome stay
Lived up to expectations for the most part. There was a small problem but the staff and owner (Rosella) dealt with it promptly. So all in all 5 stars and would definitely stay there again. The food was amazing, the staff were awesome. They kept the fridge stocked with Bintang,which was a big hit with our large group. We had suprise engagement proposal on the beach, which Putu (manager) and the staff went above and beyond to help organise. Bride to be was blown away. The location was great and there were great resturants near by. But as previous guests have mentioned, there was no need to eat out as the chef Wayan always prepared an amazing meal.

This villa is exactly what we were looking for. Coming from California, we had a long trip. We were two families traveling together and work hard. We wanted a peaceful start to our vacation where we could stay put and not lift a finger. THIS IS THE PLACE TO DO THAT! From the very start (we were picked up from the airport by the staff) and taken to the villa. My husband had not had a Bintang Beer in over 30 years, so the drivers made a quick stop so we could get one! Immediate brownie points. We arrived at the villa and were given delicious drinks in coconuts. What a treat! We were greated by the staff and were made to feel at home right away. We explored the grounds and the beach quickly because we couldn’t wait to put our toes in the water. The villa was so beautiful. The infinity pool overlooking the beach and ocean was Beautiful. We spent a lot of time in the pool. We would walk on the beach and would find so many shells, way too many to bring home with us. The staff brought in massages and yoga for us. That was delightful. The meals were fabulous from breakfast to dinner. The chef can cook! We asked for Lobster one night. I asked if they would be fresh, she smiled and pointed to the ground where they were moving! Yes, they were very fresh. The day we did go out for snorkling, the staff had the car packed for us with towels and waters. They made sure we didn’t run out of Bintangs. I must say we were so relaxed when it was time to leave the villa. We had the best time. The accomadations were 5 star. It was a treat to fall asleep every night listening to the waves. Relax in luxury
Stayed here for a week with my family (8 persons) in April and would definitely recommend! Villa is privately located with an amazing view over the ocean. Putu the manager is very kind and helps you with every request you can think of. Chef Wayan cooks the best Balinese food, from breakfast to afternoon snacks (tempura mushrooms.. nomnomnom) to three course dinners. The rest of the staff helps keep the house clean and tidy. We had some minor issues with the power supply to the pool house, but these were promptly resolved. Only thing I could think of that was missing was an separate place for massages (= comfortable massage beds), so you don’t have to lie on the pool beds (I know, very 1st world problemy.. ;)).

Life is Better at the Cove!
I’m ready to move here. My family and I have only been here a few days but even that little time has been transformative. Stretched out on the chaise lounge beside the infinity pool overlooking the beach, listening to the majesty of the crashing waves, I am convinced I need to change my ways and find a new forever life in Bali. At the Cove, specifically. The Cove has that perfect relaxed elegance that I think we all apire to. It’s luxurious and modern but still feels like home. It’s your posh, second home. Here, you can stretch out and sink in . . . But you don’t have to sink to the level of cleaning or cooking. Heaven forbid! The practical side of life – and all of its special requests – are taken care of by Putu, the manager and his staff. The seemingly invisible housekeepers keep everything impeccably neat while Chef Wayan in the kitchen makes her gourmet meals look effortless. And mine is a difficult family to cook for. We’re all organic, gluten free and casein-free. Although she’d never attempted this before, Wayan was able to make the most extraordinary gluten free, processed sugar-free lemon pie for my husband’s birthday. It was sublime! Truly, you’ll never want to leave. Meditation on the beach, yoga on the lawn, leisurely lunches by the pool, and elegant dinners watching the sunset. Life is better here.
