We cannot recommend Lavender House highly enough. Everything about our experience was absolutely wonderful, the venue itself, the breathtaking views, the delicious food, and the overall atmosphere. However, what truly made our experience unforgettable was the kindness and dedication of the people who work there.
We chose Lavender House as the venue for our wedding, and from the very beginning of the planning process, the team was there to help us with everything. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect and that we felt supported every step of the way.
On our wedding day, they were by our side from start to finish, helping, encouraging, and caring for us in a way that made us feel as though we had family with us. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness meant the world to us.
We are especially grateful to Damith and Rawindra, whose support and hard work helped make our wedding day truly magical. Thank you for creating memories that we will cherish forever.
We are already planning our return and cannot wait to visit again. Thank you, Lavender House, for everything!

This was my second stay, a two-night stay. Once again, I had a dreamlike experience. While the staff had changed due to personnel changes, everyone was just as wonderful as last time. Thanks to Manager Damith, Butler Ravindra, Chef Banuka, and everyone else, I felt incredibly comfortable and relaxed. Thank you all.
Butler Ravindra took me on a tour of the local area. We visited a tea factory owned by the hotel owner, saw a waterfall and its pool, visited a Hindu temple, and ate hopper at a local restaurant. It was a wonderful tour that allowed me to deeply experience the region. Banuka is a young but incredibly talented chef. Thank you for making exactly what I wanted to eat, even though I was the only guest. It was delicious.
I love this place. I will be back!

This getaway, tucked within the tea plantation estates (once owned by the Rothschilds), is truly an exceptional one.
The landscape, as it transitions from day, to evening and night, offers the most untainted, magical views.
The meals by the chef throughout our stay were delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Sri Lanka fare that he prepared (the western courses were also wonderful).
A big highlight was the service from the staff. Our host, Ravindra, was most attentive, caring and welcoming, ensuring that we were well taken care of during the entirety of our stay.

By far the best place for peace and quiet with the most beautiful view. Damith was amazing in every aspect and was able to help us with the rest of our trip. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, plus great for conversation. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and helped to make our stay for my partner’s birthday even better than we could’ve imagined. Sarjen, Nuwen, and Sanjeewa were all extremely attentive and I can’t even describe how delicious the meals were. This place should be a 5-Star luxury villa and restaurant! We were truly sad to leave the Lavender House and will be returning during our next visit.😊 would absolutely recommend to anyone thinking of going to see Kandy as it’s a short distance away but feels like a whole different vibe. Nothing negative to say about our stay, just many thanks and see you again soon 🙏🏻

Lavender House is absolutely exceptional. The location alone – nestled amidst the tea plantations – is unique; you feel like you’re on a movie set.
The house has a very special atmosphere, the service was outstanding, and the food was some of the best we had in Sri Lanka. A very special thank you goes to Ravindra, who attended to all our needs with such warmth and attention. We felt welcome and exceptionally well cared for from the very first moment. We would book again in a heartbeat!

An absolutely exceptional stay at The Lavender House 🌿
Everything was perfect from start to finish — the warm welcome, the genuine kindness of the staff, the beauty of the property, and the peaceful atmosphere. You immediately feel at home, with that special touch that makes the experience truly unique.
The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Every detail seems carefully designed to ensure guests have an unforgettable stay. The surroundings are stunning, ideal for relaxing and fully enjoying the moment.
A huge thank you to the entire team for their availability, professionalism, and kindness — especially Ravindra, who made our stay even more enjoyable 🙏
We leave with wonderful memories and will definitely return. A place we highly recommend without hesitation! 🌿

We had a wonderful few days at the Lavender House. Damith and the entire team looked after us incredibly well. The food cooked for us by Chef Shantha and his kitchen team was delicious. The prawn curry was the best meal we had in all of Sri Lanka. The view from the garden and pool is spectacular come rain or shine (we had both). I can thoroughly recommend Lavender House.

We were so well looked after by Ravindar and his superb team. Nothing is too much trouble in the house nestled in the tea plantation. Sunning views, beautiful rooms and food cooked by your private chef. A trip to remember.

Great Location in the middle of the tea plantations. The bungalow is 140 years old and keeps all the charme of colonial architecture. Beautiful garden and swimming pool with a great view. The service is really excellent and Ravindra is an amazing host, kind and full of nice thoughts and good idea. We really appreciated everything!

We stayed two nights at The Lavender House. It was an absolutely amazing stay. Located in the midst of a lavish tea estate, this beautiful spot features breathtaking views, a charming colonial cottage style as well as some modern rooms à la James Bond movie. Tasteful, elegant decor as well as impeccable cleanliness. From the security guards, the gardenening girls, the kind service staff, the amazing Chef Sampah to Saman, the head of staff, as well as our private butler and guide Sato – we were welcomed in the most kind, attentive and wonderful way. We will never forget the most beautiful experience of a High Tea served during sunset in the middle of the tea plantage. A big thank you to the team and an absolute recommendation to stay here, if you wish to experience a whimsical, magical stay in the beauty of Sri Lankan Highlands. Kind regards, Stephanie & Diana

This was such a delightful
place to stay. A beautifully restored plantation house high in the hills, with a picturesque view over the valley. The suite rooms are exceptional and the food and service from the team wonderful. There is a games room with pool table which was an enjoyable way to spend the evening after a day exploring the waterfalls and tea plantations in the surrounding area.
