Villa Ambar Living
Villa Ambar stays true to its Balinese surroundings with a fresh open-plan design blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. The regal architecture is dominated by stretches of pristine white marble and intricate wooden carvings sourced from across Asia. Villa Ambar has been designed as a haven for families, with interconnecting bedrooms and ample room to play in the garden.
Living Room
The villa’s living pavilion is positioned to offer magnificent views of the pool and the ocean. The space is dominated by a generous U-shaped sofa with carved details and local artwork adding a touch of Asia.
Dining Room
The villa’s two round dining tables share the same space with the generous living area, treating diners to magnificent ocean vistas. The two white tables are each surrounded by six chairs in polished black, allowing the whole party to get together for a shared meal. The dining area is adjoined by a well-equipped kitchen.

Your stay in Villa Ambar is made enjoyable by the professional staff. Villa Ambar’s staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly Balinese hospitality.
Villa Manager
Villa Ambar’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.
Housekeeping
You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.
Butlers
Butlers are on hand everyday to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout your stay.
Chef
The villa’s skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements. The chef’s services are available eight hours daily.
Chauffeur
A chauffeur will provide you with the ultimate experience! A car and driver can be a great way to explore you holiday destination. Villa rates include complimentary car and driver on stand-by for up to eight hours of complimentary guest use (excluding petrol). Please note that the car and driver are not available on the days guests check in and out.
Security
It’s nice to know you have security and many villas will have full-time guards or night time security available. Additional security can also be arranged if the villa doesn’t include any in the daily rate.
Location
Villa Ambar is located in Uluwatu in the southern tip of Bali, boasting a coveted location at the luxurious Ungasan Clifftop Resort. The resort is home to the acclaimed Selatan restaurant and the heavenly Vela spa, not to mention the iconic Sundays Beach Club, meaning you might find little reason to leave the resort at all. For some unforgettable local colour, make the 20-minute drive to the beautiful Uluwatu Temple at sunset. It takes 40 minutes to reach Villa Ambar from Ngurah Rai International Airport.

We visited the Ungasan in May just after the resort reopened after covid. We had a bit of uncertainty visiting a resort that has been closed for 2 years but the resort staff were wonderful to communicate with in the lead up and made us feel very comfortable. When we arrived we were SO happy we chose the ungasan. We stayed in Villa Ambar for 10 nights and it did not disappoint. It was 10/10 world class luxury! The villa grounds are so spacious and beautifully maintained, the pool area and ocean views were just WOW, the staff were amazing and so incredibly accomodating to our needs. It was better than the pictures! The villa was fantastic with our young daughter. This is the kind of place you don’t need/want to leave. We will definitely be visiting again!

Amazing scenery & service
Upon entering The Ungasan’s Ambar residence, we were met with an urge of saying ‘woah, this place is amazing!’. The views were spectacular. It was well maintained and lived up to the standards that were online. Inside the resort was a large, well kept garden and rooms that were always pristine.
The staff and our butler during our stay was amazing! She was super accomodating to us and made sure that we were satisfied, including waiting for us until we got back late at night. All the staffs that served us were lovely and made sure to greet us with smiles.
They organised activities for us, including the floating breakfast, flower bath and the in villa BBQ. All were prepared well, and if there were any obstructions, those who worked at Ungasan made sure to help out as much as possible to relieve that.
We had an amazing time there and would love to come back in the near future!

A stay fit for royalty
My stay at the Ungasan was the highlight of the whole trip! We had the privelege of staying at Villa Ambar, a complex overlooking the ocean. We had no idea what to expect. When the doors to the villa was swung open by our dedicated butler, we couldnt’t believe our eyes at how intricately the architecture was designed. We arrived at nightime, yet the villa looked as beautiful during the day as it did in the dark. laterns illuminated the way so we could catch glimpses of the pools of koi fish that bordered path.. upon reaching the end, we arrived at a glowing inifinity pool that blended into the ocean below the cliff. There were sounds of waves crashing on the shore. We could see all of it since the beach itself glowed with lights! to our right was also a lantern filled pagoda that looked like something out of a disney movie. The perfect place for a romantic dinner.
The beauty of the villa was matched with unparalleled service from our amazing butler, who had breakfast prepared for us every morning, and had our rooms cleaned up every day. I had the most wonderful experience at the Ungasan and hope to come back soon to enjoy it all over again.!

Our dream wedding at the Ungasan
My husband and I had our wedding in Villa Ambar at the Ungasan Clifftop Resort in May 2019. The wedding was planned by Megan Truskett, the Senior Wedding and Event Planner at the Ungasan. From day one Megan made us feel completely at ease with the planning process and completely managed everything on the day which allowed us to fully enjoy our wedding day. Apart from the venue’s natural beauty, the styling Megan created, the food and beverage and the service provided by the Ungasan team couldn’t have been better. A special mention also to Juni and Merta also for being wonderful butlers to us and the family in the lead up, wedding day and day after the wedding. Thank you to Megan and the Ungasan team for making our dream wedding a reality!
