There is nothing like a timber cabin when staying in the snow! We stayed in the studio bedroom upstairs which overlooks the living area – this worked well as we are early risers. Super comfortable, well equipped and a short walk down the road to Echo Land’s restaurants and nightlife scene. Loved our stay!!

What a great chalet in the woods! I stayed for two nights here with my husband however you could sleep more guests as there are 3 rooms. Super comfortable, easy access to restaurants and the lifts are not too far by car. If you are looking for an affordable property without breaking the bank then this is it! Plus there is another property (Antelope 1) just behind this property which too has 3 rooms and a wood cabin vibe.

I stayed here with two families the other day. All rooms were very clean and well appointed. There were plenty of facilities such as a coffee machine, kettle, refrigerator with plenty of space, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, cooking utensils, tableware, etc., so I was able to spend my time just like at home. Although we were staying with two families, there was a washroom, shower room, and toilet on each floor, and a bathtub on the first floor, so we were able to use them without any hesitation. Also, on the 2nd floor there is a drum-type washing machine, space to dry your clothes in the room, and heating equipment, so I was really grateful to be able to wash my clothes while traveling.

The corners of the stairs were rounded, so it was safe for small children to go up and down. There are restaurants within walking distance, and there are even more shops and sightseeing spots within driving distance, so the location was good. However, it was not crowded and I was able to spend a quiet time surrounded by nature. It was 3 days and 2 nights, but it was so comfortable that I wish I could have stayed longer!

Thank you for taking care of me while traveling with my friends and family! There was a large living room where the children could play within sight, and a Japanese-style room inside the room, which was very helpful for our family with small children.

It had plenty of facilities, such as a washing machine and a large refrigerator, so that it would not be a problem for long-term stays or for multiple families. Convenience stores and supermarkets are just a short walk away if you have a car, and when you go out for dinner, it’s within walking distance from the main street, making it very convenient. It was a wonderful inn that I would definitely like to visit again.

I visited on a ski trip. A relaxing log house. Everything is very clean and tidy. All the cooking utensils I wanted were available, the essential oil-scented soaps and shampoos were comfortable, and the bedding was fluffy.

There was a heavy snowfall during my stay, but heavy snow removal equipment came and removed the snow so I was relieved. There are supermarkets, drug stores, home centers, etc. in the surrounding area, making shopping very convenient. I would definitely like to stay here again.

We have now enjoyed two extended stays with Antelope and have to say we would look no further for any future trip to Hakuba – this is a great place to stay. Both Antelope 1 and 2 are extremely comfortable and homey. They are well equipped with everything we needed for cooking and dining at the chalet, and the beds and bedding are incredibly warm and cozy. There was plenty of storage and drying space for all our ski gear. Parking space is huge and the snow piles get enormous (great for kids to play on) – plus it’s fun to watch their expert plow clear all the snow. The owner offered great tips for backcountry skiing and even dropped off his own Legos for our kids to play. The property manager was super responsive and attentive. Look no further – your home away from home is at Antelope Villa!

What a fantastic place , the accommodation was very well laid out from entry and ski storage on a raised area then into the bedrooms and bathroom downstairs , loads of other storage areas as well for your skiing or biking stuff. Going upstairs the open plan living room and kitchen with balcony is well laid out and very well equipped kitchen is a pleasant surprise, the laundry room has the latest washer dryers and drying area so you can imagine it is easy to keep on top of wet skiing clothes or biking clothes.

Throughout the whole place the level of equipment and furniture is top quality and very well maintained , each room has heaters for when it’s cold and air on for the summer season as well , TV has both Japanese and English apps so this was good for us , instructions in the house for the house and surrounding area are also dual language which was a great help.

Parking at the property is abundant and no issue for us , we met the host Toru who was very helpful before and during our stay and even came over to see if everything was in order and ok with our accommodation. Even saw snow monkeys during our stay, bonus. A very beautiful area and house we felt very spoilt and happy with the choice of accommodation and area , will definitely be returning again.

    Thank you.

If there is one word I can describe this cabin, it would probably be immaculate. The cosiness of the villa made it the perfect temporary home after a long day of skiing. Waking up was no easy task as the bed was so comfortable. There were many eateries/cafes around the area from ramen, tacos, teppanyaki, western, English breakfast, not to mention the hot chocolates. Yummmz. Convenience stores which sells all the essentials you will need i.e toiletries, electrical stuff, souvenirs, groceries, alcohol, cigs etc.

The cherry on the cake was this lady named Yuki. Yuki made it very comfortable and convenient for us(with 2 of my crazy young nephews travelling with us can sometimes be tough). She picked us up when we reached Hakuba, picked us up every morning to the slopes, helped to book amenities i.e snowmobile. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of enjoyable. Oh and Yuki speaks perfect English.

Will I ever come back here? Without a doubt, yes!
